  1. No I believe you bro but the statement that ducketts is junk doesn’t ring true to me from my personal experience, dobyns fury is a good rod for 110 bucks it’s a good all around type rod spinnerbaits chatter baits square bills and even t rigs but sensitivity is not it’s greatest attribute.
  2. Keep them in the clam shell they come in that’s just gonna be the best way. Once they bend they won’t take back their original form unless you dip them in hot water.
  3. I rather have duckett. Don’t listen to the haters. Duckett is gonna give you a lot of sensitivity for the price and very strong rods I’ve boat flipped, not high sticked,5 pounders on a duckett ghost. A lot of hate tords micro guides theses days but in reality most Rods now a days have semi micro guides on them they just don’t advertise them much because of the slack micro guides get.
  4. I prefer Centrifugal but I haven’t owned a magnetic baitcaster in many years.
  5. Get one of each.
  6. TW Backpack holds a ton of gear three 3700 and one 3600 also comes with many compartments fishing the bank with it works great or throwing it on the back of a kayak works great but hiking well it’s a little clumsy for hiking. When river fishing or hiking it’s best to back as minimal as possible you don’t want to take everything and the kitchen sink with you.
  7. TW bag is a good bag I’ve had one for a couple of years now and it’s held up well it’s starting to tear up but it’s my fault. I got it for 40 bucks on Black Friday about three years ago. I recommend. Still use this bag holds a ton of tackle.
  8. Never used either one but I alway thought the smokes were cool.
  9. I been using these pline for a year now their my favorite I used to use the kvd snaps but they catch grass. Definitely an acquired taste, small round loop? No action.
  10. It takes a couple of months of fishing regularly bro to really get it down. You might get the basics in a couple of times out on the water but to really get it! Takes a little wile.
  11. Cxx works well you put 15 pound Cxx that lines not braking I don’t care what anyone says you’re gonna have to cut that line off and hardly barely any stretch I prefer CX premium I just have that tied on most my moving baits and has less memory, 15 pound for spinnerbait/chatter bait. You don’t need no stankin braid for chatterbaits you think you’re mikeballz fishing up in the grass ?
  12. I remember buying one ten years ago for like three dollars. I was throwing the baby minus in a farm pond for like ten minutes I told myself this peice of junk crankbait! I was reeling in to tie on a squarebill and I got smashed on the retrieve. I have almost every color now but that root beer chart is my favorite! Every time I go bass pro I pick one up, geez I really love that little bait it just works!!!
  13. IMA flit is my go to jerk bait very underrated but very efficient.
  14. Congrats ???
  15. If a worms not working then don’t throw a worm??‍♂️ Throw something else plenty of soft plastics you can choose from anyhow it’s fall the bass are moving, so a faster presentation might be better.
  16. Packaging looks from the 80s. cool concept bet it works well. That second hook will probably get them in the eye though ? this one belongs in “another one for the collection” thread. Just read the small print 1984 ?
  17. I’ve never used the Plano elite for crankbaits but for my square bills I like the bass mafia kasket I feel I can fit the most crankbaits separately because I personally don’t like to have my crankbaits rubbing up against each other. These are some of my 1.5s this is the 3700 size. For the 2.5s probably want to check out the ice coffins but I like bass mafia they have some good boxes.
  18. The Powell inferno also comes in a glass graphite comosite for cranking. I don’t know I like a good composite I feel you get the best of both worlds you get the give of glass and the feel of graphite. ??‍♂️
  19. It’s really depends what you want to do with the reel ? The 70 will work be good for fineness and you can even get away throwing a ned rig since you don’t really have any fineness casting reels it would be a good addition but it’s a tuff choice because the metanium mgl well it’s a metanium so it’s gonna be up to you? I don’t have a metanium but given the rite price an opportunity to get it that’s what I would get any how you can always find the 70 on flea bay for like 150 I also feel the 70 might get an upgrade next year ? See what happens ?
  20. If they were closer at price I would probably get another chronarch however if you’re debating whether to get a metanium mgl or another chronarch I would go with metanium mgl no doubt!!!
  21. What kind of cranking are you doing square bills and mid divers or mid to deep divers?
  22. He’s been using an uglystick so I think he might feel a considerable amount of difference in sensitivity making the switch to the mojo s glass ? Thoughts @Choporoz My recommendation to the op is a glass composite like the Powell endurance or the Powell inferno glass composite very sensitive and plenty of give for those trebles?
  23. Don’t get it. You’ll regret it that reel is to fast for your first baitcaster and is limited to certain techniques where as a 7 speed you can get away with doing almost everything.
  24. The k has its place and is solid but it’s limited to more heavy duty applications imo I use it mainly for spinnerbaits frogs deeper diving baits, but I’m not punching one ounce jigs with a big flipping stick and 80 percent of the time I’m fishing more fineness or weightless presentations. So the lighter reels I feel are better for the way I fish even squarebills I prefer the chronarchs.
