  2. which ever one they are biting on that specific day in that specific body of water.
  3. I agree great budget rod surprisingly sensitive for the price.
  4. super fluke
  5. yeah took advantage got my daughter a good deal on a rod and reel combo got 25% off both rod and reel the items were suppose to be excluded from the sale but I made a phone call and they gave me the discount no questions asked.
  6. I think a 6 10 composite for square bills is ideal you don't need anything longer than 7 for square bills now you just have to decide glass graphite or a composite...?
  7. send it back if your not happy TW is one of the easiest online retailers to deal with you wont have to pay nothing just fill out the paper work state your reason for the exchange in this case you ordered the wrong size and place the return label on box send it back... send it... don't be stuck with a reel your not happy with I personally would not be happy with a 4000 size reel I have owned a couple of abu Garcia spinning reels and the 30 is the highest your gonna want to go in fresh water even the size 20 size is a perfect size the I have owned both the 20 and the 30 sizes I prefer the 20 but the 30 is extremely comfortable. When you return it you get your return swiftly no questions asked you don't even have to call unless your like me. I bug a lot but wait a couple of days for them to get it and ask for an email verification if you so desire. TW is the bestes.
  8. very happy for you boomstick! I'm glad things turned out well!
  9. although my zodias is the most sensitive rod that I own I hate the eva grips on it. But if that doesn't matter to you I would go with the zodias. honorable mention to the phenix feather series of rods very sensitive and 50 dollars cheaper than your budget!?
  10. cxx is a very good choice for larger swim baits 1 ounce and up that stuff wont break!
  11. ?I only buy reels with 20 plus bearings ...
  12. lol just kidding keep us posted on the sierra, I most definitely would have done the same specially because of dobnys customer service and warranty.
  13. is this a trick question?
  14. no... I have only used graphite for all my chatterbait spinnerbait type aplications I don't see a need to use glass for anything other than treble hook baits. I do like fishing a good glass blank however not for spinnerbaits chatterbaits. just my opinion for what its worth.
  15. tuff one.... get both ?
  16. the 30 is a 3000 size if I'm not mistaken no need to go higher than that. Nice reel also!
  17. that's you rite there?
  18. sounds pretty tricky to using this on my head? however intriguing and have put some thought into these type blades before.
  19. I also have owned this reel and can honestly say it is a work horse of a reel with an aluminum frame its extremely durable and light weight. I don't think you can find it new for less than 100 bucks but if you can its a definite second to the fuego probably even more durable but not as good a caster. ^this is the picture of it when I posted it for sale after three years of pretty hard abuse^
  20. rite now the most affordable most durable reel is probably the diawa fuego on amozon for 63 bucks.
  21. it will depend on the type of braking your accustomed to magnetic or centrifugal you wont go wrong with either reel.
  22. lew lfs ,abu revo, diawa fuego, shimano slx, and fpluger offer durable reels in the 100 market all these reels are good durable reels its up to you ultimately what your gonna pick.
  23. even if I suggested it you wouldn't use it your stuck in the 70s cat ?
  24. I don't use mono but I have used it and it does have its applications... It does behave differently a lot differently then braid which would explain your problems but it will take a little to get used to specially because your used to a line that pretty much has no memory however when it comes to memory big game is actually one of the better lines to use considering its price line conditioner will help but not much.
