  1. I may Go with a kistler z bone 7’6 heavy rated 1/2oz-2oz heavy powered mod fast and also get the 904c that way both rods should cover all my delta worm and jig work
  2. I agree with you about it not having much to do with the weight of the jig i was mainly seeing if that conquest had the power to fish around the cover. My intentions is not to punch with the rod as i already have a rod for that but indeed fish around and in the tulies and grass. So would the 905c be the better choice
  3. So would the 904c have the power to fish in and around heavy cover or should i step up to 905c
  4. Which conquest for 1/2 jigs In heavy cover. I fish the California delta if that helps let you know the cover i fish
  5. So you have experience with the 852s with drop shots and shakey heads
  6. You'd be surprised alot of the people out here are finesse fishing and are killing them in the tournaments
  7. Okay so i still haven't got a full answer but im looking for a finesse setup to throw shakey heads and drop shots my choices are the 822 dsr 822 syr or 852s i fish the California delta so ill be around some cover now i want the rod that can throw both these techniques well and if theres a rod out the conquest line that can do these well ill consider that to but as of now from reading up online the 852s 822dsr and 822syr are the choices.
  8. Looking to get a rod to fish drop shot shakey heads ned rigs neko rigs mainly shakey heads and drop shots Reading up online i come to thess rods nrx 852s 822 dsr and 822 shakey head ive seen some people say the 822 dsr is pretty whimpy and they don't like it which is pushing me away as ill be throwing these on the California delta so ill be using a little more heavier line then the average finesse set up somewere in between finesse and power finesse. which rod from the nrx line and conquest line that can do all these finesse techniques well.
  9. If micro guides are out of alignment just a little would that affect rod sensitivity or performance for fighting fish and or casting
  10. Its more of a resistance i feel on the metanium mgl harder to turn the handle when fishing moving baits while the curado and chronarch feels as if theres nothing on the end of the line will im winding a chatterbait lets say
  11. Looking to get a reel to pair with my new rod for my moving baits and not sure on what to get ether a metanium 13 or chronarch mgl. I have a metanium mgl and i was using it for moving baits and it just felt not so smooth under the pressure of a moving bait compared to my curado 200i or my buddys chronarch mgl those reels felt way smoother and easier to fish moving baits im not sure if it is because my met is a 7 gear ratio and my curado and buddys chronarch is a 6 gear ratio or its just those reels are better suited for moving style baits. If its the gear ratios thats causing this i would rather have the 13 met or mgl because which reel i get its gonna be a 6 gear ratio reel so if a met 13 or mgl in a 6 gear ratio will feel as easy and smooth i would prefer a met 13 or mgl but if its not the gear ratio that causes that ill be getting a chronarch mgl
  12. For the conquest you wouldn't think a 903 would do it
  13. Which conquest or nrx for texas rigs and jigs 1/2 oz and under i fish the California delta and use braid
  14. How is that i always see people getting these rods way cheaper then sticker were and how do i go about getting one cheaper
  15. Any body have experience with these high end rods looking purchase one. kistler z bone, g loomis nrx or conquest, megasbass destroyer, also is there any jdm rods out there that any one could mention and also is there any way to purchase those rods at a discounted price or used
  16. Okay I came across a forum talking about rod sensitivity. Stating that the reasons you want a sensitive rod is for bottom contact lures to know when you bait hits bottom. And to feel that bottom. Now it had me thinking about my rods sensitivity I use a kistler helium 3 as my jig and wirm rod now i don't have a problem detecting strikes and knowing when my bait gets hit but I can't feel when my bait hits bottom I usually look out for when my line has slack. And it would be so helpful to know when my jig hits bottom so I could hop it off the bottom more better. Just curious if any of you feel the same as me or do you have a great feel for what your baits doing
  17. Here's what I will exactly be throwing on the rod I will be buying I will be fishing Texas riged 5-inch and 6-inch senkos around grass and tullies and wacky rig senkos 5-inch and 6-inch around Open Water. 3/16-3/8 oz T rigs and 1/4-3/8 jigs around moderate cover like rocks grass tullies and etc I fish alot of ponds and fish the California delta on my boat which has bug fish and alot of cover that the fish could get caught up in so my options are ether the 893c 854c or 873crr
  18. Okay but which model in the nrx line would fish the baits i listed in moderate to heavy cover i fish the ca delta
  19. I'm not I'm just curious on which model was intended for my uses
  20. I'm looking to purchase a high end jig and worm rod ill be fishing weightless senkos and 3/16-3/8 jigs and Texas rigs around moderate to heavy cover i fish the ca delta and a bunch of ponds that have moderate to heavy cover I'm looking at the nrx line of rods glx and megabass destroyer which rod In these rod lines will fish the baits above best
  21. I really want a shimano chronarch mgl but it's not recommend for salt water and the California delta is what I fish and it's brackish water. I'm getting mixed answers on peopel recommending it being safe or not. But what confuses me is how the met mgl and bantam mgl are saltwater fine but not the chronarch mgl if someone can let me know if the chronarch mgl is safe for brackish water or have experience please let me know
  22. And how often should I maintenance the reel. And how long have you been fishing the mgl in brackish water
  23. Ok good I'll go in store and check both both out the chronarch mgl or bantam mgl and decide there on which. Good to know there safe in brackishwater
  24. So the chronarch mgl is safe to fish in brackish water
  25. Yeah but the Batman has the mgl spool
