  1. I am just getting back into bass fishing after a very long break. When I used to bass fish I used 5000, 5500 C3, and 4600 C4 reels mounted to Berkley Lightning Rods almost exclusively. I learned how to cast on them. Unfortunately I no longer have any of that equipment and am starting from scratch. I have looked at the current models and cannot believe how much they cost now. I had bought them in the past based on their value and durability. I can now get a REVO X for less money that is just as well made. Heck there are deals right now that allow you to pick up a Daiwa Tatula CT for around $75.00.
  2. Thanks for all the advice folks! I am just going to have to get to a shop and play with the reels and see what fits best.
  3. Where are you finding one for $75.00
  4. I am just getting back into fishing after about a 15 year break. Trying to find the best reel for $100.00 or less. When I bass fished before it was mainly with Abu Garcia 5000, 5500 C3, and 4600 C4 reels on Berkley Lightning rods. I cannot believe what they want for those reels now! Anyway, I think I have narrowed it down to the following 1. Abu Garcia Revo X 2. Diawa Fuego CAT 3. *** Origin C 4. Shimano Casitas 150 I am starting from scratch so I don't want to waste a bunch of money trying to figure out the best reel. Thanks for any advice!
