  1. i caught a heron before on a mepps... it was terribly embarrassing him flying around with my drag screaming landing across the river... i had to just break it off once he was in a safe spot it was all i could do
  2. so for me usually immediately following or even during a nice rain fishing is rather good however the next day after a heavy rain and post frontal conditions i usually find the fishing to be not so great but if you have a day to fish its a day to fish which is better than no day to fish
  3. i would rather drop it in the lake than have it stolen, at least that way you paid the fish gods, this way you get nothing out of it ?
  4. just spend like 20 to 30 more and get the stradic ci4... if you have to just dont eat for a couple days
  5. i have 2 curado k and 2 chronarch ci4 on my casting rigs... if you want a smaller reel go with bantam or maybe look at some chronarchs or the bantam which is a little heavier than the chronarch but still small. if you want light chronarch will be your answer or if you want small and sturdy like a tank the bantam. i dont think i would necessarily recommend a curado k though as it is larger profile, and heavier than chronarch so in your case i might just drop the cash on the bantam. not that curado is bad but i just use it for heavier rigs and the chronarch fits that nice in between that and my spinning gear
  6. i use this rod for senkos and jerkbaits with a stradic 2500. works great
  7. those shots are awesome that looks intense! nice post dude!
  8. please tell us more about these Steven Kink novels
  9. just depends on your target. that will dictate your style. is it a trophy? are you looking for fish to eat? these things will change what you have to do to get what you want
  10. hey man good luck out there. I dont personally have any tips for that water but I do know I have seen some fellas talking about lake juliette on maybe Lanier Area Kayak Enthusiasts site you may check that out if not much response here.
  11. i have had my chronarch make some pretty weird sounds when fighting big browns in the river current its like a cracking/ scraping sound on the reel i thought for sure the first time the brown had exploded my chronarch lol it ended up being fine i have no idea what happened but the next time i caught a big brown the spool was making some weird noises again which went away after a few casts... chronarch is the ci4 model basically i am just saying i dont know I don't understand it is but it has happend to me but only on big fish in currents
  12. all that matters is you put that stradic on the mojo
