Here in southeast Arkansas it’s supposed to be 61 today, not sure about tomorrow. Severe storms, possibly tornadoes on Sunday then the bottom is supposed to drop out temperature wise.

@Boomstick, Good luck with your writing! Do keep us posted on your progress. When completed, I would love to purchase a copy. Probably never get around to it, but fishing some of Maine’s smaller lakes is on my bucket list.

They’re talking about it here in SE Arkansas too. I hate cold weather. Used to love it, now if it’s below around 40 I’m out.

I’ll go with Academy H2OX lures every time. Excellent lures at a great price. That said, the BPS XPS line of lures used to be really good. Haven’t purchased any in a while. When I worked there, the XTS line of lures were not worth buying. When Southern Plastics were making the BPS soft plastics they were great. I don’t know who makes them now, or if they’re worth buying.

Hopefully it won’t bounce.

You certainly can, still, people from the pro’s down to every day individuals get caught every day either fishing without a license or with an expired license. I never have, but I can see how it can innocently happen. Anyone with half a brain knows what I meant by saying that I wouldn’t “crucify” Ben, or anyone else, for fishing without a license.

Just seeing this @Bankbeater. I’ll be praying for you, your family and your surgical team.

I’m going to wait until more is known. No matter the outcome, not going to crucify anyone for fishing without a valid license. While I’ve never fished without a license, I can certainly see how it can happen to Ben, to me or to anyone else.

I was never much of a Cabela’s shopper. Ordered a few things here and there but that’s about it. Good stuff but I preferred BPS. Now that it’s BPS/Cabela’s I guess I shop there often. Other than the closest local mom and pop and occasionally Academy (both 45 miles away), I only shop at BPS/Cabela’s. Ordered from TW twice, card was compromised both times. Never again, fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me. Fool me three times, ain’t gonna happen.

Wow, I didn’t think the Shriner’s would ever sell. That temple has been there as long as I can remember.

I like JFG too but we don’t have it here in AR. Usually drink Folgers black silk now, always black. Did the Shriner’s sell the temple? What’s going in its place?

Tillers are very popular here in south east Arkansas too. I love mine although it did take some getting used to. That’s a great looking rig. Never heard of that brand.

The B.A.S.S. schedule looks good to me. As I’m not a “pro” the schedule really doesn’t mean anything to me, I’m watching top level bass fishing no matter where the tournament is being held.

If the choice is BPS or online, I’m going with BPS.

That’s exactly what I’m doing. Building a new workshop and planning on wall length tool storage utilizing tool chests and pegboard.

Not fishing but kinda sorta. While at Home Depot last Saturday, noticed that they had 46” wide 9 drawer tool cabinets on sale for $298.99 ($100.00 off). She asked if I wanted one for Christmas as my 30 year old Craftsman is on its last leg. So I bought one. May buy another one, I’ve got so many tools from my racing days.

I do that too, all seven footers.

I used to play the gear ratio or speed game, decided to take the advice of Henry David Thoreau and “simplify, simplify, simplify”. Use 7.1:1 for everything. If I need to fish slower, don’t reel as fast. Need to fish faster, reel faster.
