  1. Can some explain how to set up a slip rig. I have not used corks or bobbers since I was a kid.
  2. I'm a long time outdoorsman, been fishing since I was old enough to walk pretty much. My patience has been tested lately. I started fishing for bream an old school way to me. I bought me some crickets got out my ultra lite spinning set ups that I use for trout. And I have had a ton of success. Round clip on bobber, small split shot or 2 if I want to get any distance and a standard long shank cricket hook. Usually setup about 3 foot deep. Bluegill hammer it, i actually was physically tired of catching them 2 nights ago. But casting that setup using lite line like that gets wrapped around the bobber every few cast. You know it when the bobber is floating sideways. There has got to be an easier way. .
