  1. I’m right there with you. I’d like to add one more and call it done and just switch things around.
  2. Casting - 4 chronarch mgl’s - 2 bantam mgl’s - 2016 met mgl - 2020 met mgl spinning - 2 stradic ci4’s - stradic ci4+ - stradic fk
  3. I am also looking at this rod as I don’t own an adrena yet. I went in full intentions on purchasing it but after handling it I had to pass for the time being to do more though. It feels amazing but I was looking for more of a t-rig rod, maybe Alabama rig rod. This rod has more parabolic bend, so definitely more of a swim bait rod, maybe large top water rod (big buzz baits or whopper ploppers). Excellent feeling rod, just don’t know if it’s what I’m after yet
  4. I’d be all over that if it has the solid core body at a reduced cost. I currently own 3 or 4 chronarch mgl’s, 2 bantam mgl’s and 2 Mets (2016 and 2020). The chronarchs are a tough reel to beat at the price point.
  5. I bought my 2016 met mgl for 50% off, and had a mixed price on an nrx and saved me 450 bucks
  6. I’ve had the daiwa tw sv103, 13 fishing concept c and chronarch mgl on my squarebill and smaller crank rod. I found the 13 would cast them the farthest between the 3 but was the most finicky. Wind change, weight change and the thing would almost try and birds nest lol. The daiwa had the most control over the widest weight range I found but shortest casting distance. The chronarch has been a perfect happy medium in my mind. Easy to stay in tune, and cast almost as far as the 13.
  7. What do you use the 7’4 for? I was looking at it today and it really peaked my interest? While looking at the adrena’s today, the two guys in the store I was at owned 9 adrena’s between the two of them. Both of them had 2 7’2” heavies as they said it’s surprising how versatile it is. They said for 1 rod to cover so much and hold almost nrx sensitivity, the 7’2” would be it
  8. Thank you gentleman, I have my glx 894c as my main purpose jig rod, and my expride 7’2” mh as my moving bait rod (small paddletails, chatterbaits, etc.) so looking for something for t-rigs around cover, large spinners, and Alabama rigs
  9. I’ve never caught a Muskie personally but we have hooked into a few nice pike. Haven’t personally broke the 20lbs range so can’t confirm this. That said though I’ve never felt underpowered carrying my chronarch mgl’s. I’ve caught 2, 5.5lbs bass on the frog rod in some super heavy mats without issue. Caught 2 pike 1 hook neither very large but super weird how it played out and struggled a bit but still not a problem. I have 1 curado, 3-4 chronarchs, 2 bantams mgl’s, 1 2016 Mets, and 1 2020 Mets. The chronarchs for the price I feel are a nice step up from the curado’s ans feel very nice in comparison to price of the Mets. My go too reel for sure. That said those new Mets blow my mind!
  10. I have 3 or 4 chronarch mgl’s, 1 curado k and have fished a dc a few times. While all three are excellent I was in the same boat when after getting a chance to fish them side by side for a day I continued purchasing the chronarchs. They are one of my favourites!! The palm so well, cast a freaking mile. Have used them for jigs, t-rigs, squarebills and lipless, frogs, top water and beat the hell out of them. It was on my frog rod for 2 seasons being fished extremely hard (probably the most use out of any reel) and last year it moved over to my squarebill stick and preformed flawless. Would of stayed on the frog rod if I hadn’t changed to the bantams for my heavier stuff.
  11. thank you. So I use the glx 894c as my main jig rod and throw 3/8-5/8oz jigs on that particular rod. What I’m looking for specifically is a bit more a multi purpose rod. 5/8-1 1/4oz punching rod, 1/2-1oz t-rigs, Carolina rigs, whopper plopper, and I’d like to try the Alabama rig this year.
  12. I’ve used the curado k for 2 seasons and last season the bantam mgl. Both are fantastic. Love the bantam
  13. I’ve been debating on trying one of these rods for about a year now and noticed that my local store has the 7’4” heavy in stock and it’s rated from 3/8oz-2oz. Curious if anyone has any experience with this rod and what you find it to be good for!
  14. It’s funny I bought the tatula sv for this purpose and had nothing but bad luck. Swapped it on rods for a different purpose and still couldn’t get the distance or the thing to stop back lashing. I replaced it with the chronarch mgl and worked a million times better. So I am now a shimano fan boy and only fish there reels. but since fishing nothing shimano on my rods, my dad and buddy both fish daiwa (2 tatula sv, and 1 feugo) and all three reels are nice. Great distance, easy to tune to your bait, and smooth. I litterally just think I had a Lemon. There was no sweet spot on mine. Fishing my dads, I can change the brake from 3/4 area to 10-12 area and see no change in the amount I need to thumb as long as spool tension is set correctly and the right bait is on. Once I get below the 3/4 I really need to pay attention. He sets it at 5 or 6 if I remember and swaps baits from the smallest cranks to larger swim jigs and spinners and never has an issue. still wouldn’t give up my shimano’s for them but that’s just me
  15. Smaller poppers, and walking baits I like a medium extra fast. The medium is soft enough to keep them pinned. A larger top water I prefer a medium heavy fast or mod-fast
  16. I fish from the bank a lot, more so then in a boat. A long rod can make it slightly more difficult then a short for carrying, and maneuvering around the water, but the benefits strongly outweigh the negatives in my opinion. A long rod helps you with addition leverage to hoist them out of the thick. It also allows for long flips to harder to reach places. I do believe there is a line. I feel 7’6” would be the ideal length from a bank, plus or minus an inch or two, but going to be trying a 7’11 this year from a bank and maybe my mind will change. In a boat a longer rods benefits only enhance (the addition height off the water, the much longer casts, way more leverage)
  17. I absolutely love my imx pro 845 cbr. Lipless, squarebills it’s fantastic and has no problem handling some bigger baits! Great parabolic bend but loads of power
  18. been updated with reels sorry. The spinning reels will be getting a refresh this season.
  19. Well getting some fresh line spooled up, and leaders tied and reels oiled and cleaned when a buddy came over. He was looking at my 2020 line up and had a slight difference in opinion on what to use some of the rods for, so I’m curious what you would use each of these rods for and what might you add? spinning; - 7’ light plus expride stradic fk - nrx 852s stradic ci4+ - glx 822s dsr stradic ci4 casting - glx 852c met mgl - nrx 853c 2020 met - expride 7’2” mh m/f chronarch mgl - imx pro 845c cbr chronarch mgl -imx pro 884 twfr bantam mgl - glx 894c chronarch mgl - 13 fishing envy black 7’6” heavy extra fast curado I - megabass orocchi xx launcher bantam mgl
  20. I’ve been running an FG knot for 2.5 years now and I love it. It passes through without hicuup but boy was it a royal pain to learn, and even after you master it it can be a pain to do if you slightly forget. I’ve finally gotten good at it, but it took som real time. I’ve had the mono/fluoro/brad snap before my knot. I’ve had hooks bend out, and even a rod blow once before the knot let go. I trust the knot, and it’s super strong. The only time the knot wouldn’t work for me was with power pro super slick. I couldn’t get any knot to stay tight with it, ditch the line when back to straight power pro with a mono or fluoro leader using the fg knot
  21. I’ve been debating an exsence for some time, maybe that will be one to try. I’d like the other to maybe be daiwa as every reel I own is shimano (12)
  22. So my cousin in buying a pair of stradic ci4’s off me, which leaves me with 1 stradic fk, and 1 stradic ci4+ Left and need to replace 2 reels. Set ups are nrx 852s, expride 7’ light +, glx 822 dsr, and an e6x 2 pieces for my northern walleye trips (can’t bring 1 piece rods as I broke too many lol). So I’d most like throw the stradic fk on the e6x, and the ci4+ on the glx, but would like to try some higher end spinning reels. any suggestions on what to try. id prefer not to spend 1000-1100 on a Stella but who knows. I’m open to anything above the stradic line (love them just want to try higher to see if there worth it). Kind of a shimano guy but hear the daiwa spinning might be nicer
  23. Tough call, depending on price point I can adjust but for what Id want/have would be; -nrx 852s with ci4+ for your do all spinning tackle - nrx 853c with met 2020 for do all casting (jigs, small top water, small paddle rails, t-rigs - imx pro 845c cbr for cranks - glx 894c for heavy jigs and cover. that said I’d really like to add to that list for specific things. been fishing the 7’ lite plus expride and its awesome for neds and real finesse. a frog rod as it’s one of my favourite ways to fish.
  24. I don’t own the zodias but do own the 7’2” medium heavy expride and that’s what I have been using for my chatterbait, spinner bait and paddletails! Love this rod, light, loads of power! that said if your looking doe the loomis, it’s definitely worth stepping to the imx pro over the e6x.
