  1. I’m right there with you. I’d like to add one more and call it done and just switch things around.
  2. Casting - 4 chronarch mgl’s - 2 bantam mgl’s - 2016 met mgl - 2020 met mgl spinning - 2 stradic ci4’s - stradic ci4+ - stradic fk
  3. I am also looking at this rod as I don’t own an adrena yet. I went in full intentions on purchasing it but after handling it I had to pass for the time being to do more though. It feels amazing but I was looking for more of a t-rig rod, maybe Alabama rig rod. This rod has more parabolic bend, so definitely more of a swim bait rod, maybe large top water rod (big buzz baits or whopper ploppers). Excellent feeling rod, just don’t know if it’s what I’m after yet
  4. I’d be all over that if it has the solid core body at a reduced cost. I currently own 3 or 4 chronarch mgl’s, 2 bantam mgl’s and 2 Mets (2016 and 2020). The chronarchs are a tough reel to beat at the price point.
  5. I bought my 2016 met mgl for 50% off, and had a mixed price on an nrx and saved me 450 bucks
  6. I’ve had the daiwa tw sv103, 13 fishing concept c and chronarch mgl on my squarebill and smaller crank rod. I found the 13 would cast them the farthest between the 3 but was the most finicky. Wind change, weight change and the thing would almost try and birds nest lol. The daiwa had the most control over the widest weight range I found but shortest casting distance. The chronarch has been a perfect happy medium in my mind. Easy to stay in tune, and cast almost as far as the 13.
  7. What do you use the 7’4 for? I was looking at it today and it really peaked my interest? While looking at the adrena’s today, the two guys in the store I was at owned 9 adrena’s between the two of them. Both of them had 2 7’2” heavies as they said it’s surprising how versatile it is. They said for 1 rod to cover so much and hold almost nrx sensitivity, the 7’2” would be it
  8. Thank you gentleman, I have my glx 894c as my main purpose jig rod, and my expride 7’2” mh as my moving bait rod (small paddletails, chatterbaits, etc.) so looking for something for t-rigs around cover, large spinners, and Alabama rigs
  9. I’ve never caught a Muskie personally but we have hooked into a few nice pike. Haven’t personally broke the 20lbs range so can’t confirm this. That said though I’ve never felt underpowered carrying my chronarch mgl’s. I’ve caught 2, 5.5lbs bass on the frog rod in some super heavy mats without issue. Caught 2 pike 1 hook neither very large but super weird how it played out and struggled a bit but still not a problem. I have 1 curado, 3-4 chronarchs, 2 bantams mgl’s, 1 2016 Mets, and 1 2020 Mets. The chronarchs for the price I feel are a nice step up from the curado’s ans feel very nice in comparison to price of the Mets. My go too reel for sure. That said those new Mets blow my mind!
  10. I have 3 or 4 chronarch mgl’s, 1 curado k and have fished a dc a few times. While all three are excellent I was in the same boat when after getting a chance to fish them side by side for a day I continued purchasing the chronarchs. They are one of my favourites!! The palm so well, cast a freaking mile. Have used them for jigs, t-rigs, squarebills and lipless, frogs, top water and beat the hell out of them. It was on my frog rod for 2 seasons being fished extremely hard (probably the most use out of any reel) and last year it moved over to my squarebill stick and preformed flawless. Would of stayed on the frog rod if I hadn’t changed to the bantams for my heavier stuff.
  11. thank you. So I use the glx 894c as my main jig rod and throw 3/8-5/8oz jigs on that particular rod. What I’m looking for specifically is a bit more a multi purpose rod. 5/8-1 1/4oz punching rod, 1/2-1oz t-rigs, Carolina rigs, whopper plopper, and I’d like to try the Alabama rig this year.
  12. I’ve used the curado k for 2 seasons and last season the bantam mgl. Both are fantastic. Love the bantam
  13. I’ve been debating on trying one of these rods for about a year now and noticed that my local store has the 7’4” heavy in stock and it’s rated from 3/8oz-2oz. Curious if anyone has any experience with this rod and what you find it to be good for!
  14. It’s funny I bought the tatula sv for this purpose and had nothing but bad luck. Swapped it on rods for a different purpose and still couldn’t get the distance or the thing to stop back lashing. I replaced it with the chronarch mgl and worked a million times better. So I am now a shimano fan boy and only fish there reels. but since fishing nothing shimano on my rods, my dad and buddy both fish daiwa (2 tatula sv, and 1 feugo) and all three reels are nice. Great distance, easy to tune to your bait, and smooth. I litterally just think I had a Lemon. There was no sweet spot on mine. Fishing my dads, I can change the brake from 3/4 area to 10-12 area and see no change in the amount I need to thumb as long as spool tension is set correctly and the right bait is on. Once I get below the 3/4 I really need to pay attention. He sets it at 5 or 6 if I remember and swaps baits from the smallest cranks to larger swim jigs and spinners and never has an issue. still wouldn’t give up my shimano’s for them but that’s just me
