Sooo I have pondered and looked up different rods for this application, some want shorter some Want fast or moderate fast etc.. spinning or casting. I’m wondering what the best jerkbait rod on the market would be .. budget is around 250$ .. and would you go casting or spinning? If you go spinning would you go from braid to leader Bc of the horrible line twist?? I fish from a boat and live in western New York, I fish Lake Erie from April-July usually for smallmouth spawning and then a lot of local lakes.. I wonder if spinning would be best Bc of the winds.. lots of stuff to consider. I also have never used a spinning rod except for ned rigs and dropshot type techniques.. wonder how it would feel to use it when jerkbait fishing .. please help ! Also I prefer something in the 6 ‘ 10 “ range to 7 foot.

I like ALX a lot ! Most of my rod quiver is ALC but I’m trying to venture out.

I’m looking at the Shimano poison Adrena and it says it’s a 6 ft 11 inch medium + rod.. what does the + mean.. is it in the middle of a medium and MH rod ?

So I live about 4 hours away in western New York and I’m Taking a few day trip to raystown lake this year and wondering if anyone can help? Im looking to catch my first striper ever! I’ll be fishing from my boat, I have a 17 ft Lund adventure series so I’ll be able to move around if needed and get from spot to spot. Any tips would be appreciated so much! I’m looking forward to going probbsly either in June , July or August.

Small update! At the gym now, my 3 or 4th week in can’t remember .. but my bench is back up to 205 for sets of 5 ! Rows are back to 185 ! Doing a back and chest antagonist day! Did 20 minutes of cardio and going home to meal prep after ! Down 3 pounds

Thank you so much for this! Seriously this has helped a lot ! I actually do know who Jeff cavalier is and have kind of followed his athlene x but I will now follow him a lot more. I can say for sure that I let myself go last year, I went threw some hard times last year losing loved ones and personal relationship stuff and kind of fell into a “depression”. Drank, didn’t eat.. went out fishing but would bring junk and chips and energy drinks for snacking. This yesr I’m going to focus on eating healthy and building a physique to be proud of and confident in. I am truly amazed that you do ZERO cardio! That is the most impressive thing ever. Even in my late teens or early 20s I have never been as shredded as you so congrats haha. Showing us young men to shame. I will take everything you said and put it to good use! I know it’s 70% diet and 30% training, abs are built in the kitchen as they say.. I will keep up to date post maybe weekly and make sure to stay on track ! Thank you again so much and keep it up!

Sooooo I used to workout for years, since I was 16 I hit the gym 5-7 days a week for years on end and built a good physique, the past 2 years and 2019 specifically has been the worst year. I haven’t worked out in two years now and finally getting back into it. I gained about 30 pounds of fat... not s very attractive or healthy thing. Your videos and mental state has given me some motivation. I’ll start updating pics. I hope you can motivate and continue this thread.. I’ll check in everyday if I have to. My biggest problem is food! I love junk food.. I need to get my mind back on track rather than the gym. Any pointers on food and how you eat? Or snacks etc.. to help curb the appetite

This might be a dumb question but, how do I or is it possible to put locks on my storage compartments for my boat? I have a 17 ft Lund adventure series. The top compartments and everything have latches but they don’t lock.. you lift up on the latch and turn and then you can lift the compartment top up but there is no way to lock these so my possessions are safe. What can I do?

Thank you! I went ahead and ordered them.. I’m 6 ft 190 but they didn’t have a large .. the large was sold out so I went ahead and got the x large anyway, for 170 you can’t go wrong ! I can’t wait for them to come in

I’m looking to get some insulated bibs for colder season fishing and some ice fishing or Early spring fishing. Wondering if anyone had used these ? How warm are they? How do they fit etc .. Any help would be great thank you !

I’ll add mine! It’s been awhile since I have been on here. This year ice out was around April 9th .. next year I’m hoping to be getting fish by April 5th ! Let’s shoot for about a week closer. It’s still be decently warm here in western Ny, been in the low 40s last couple days .. hoping it doesn’t get crazy in January and February.

I am also bored !! Due to a lot of work and family matters I haven’t fished since September ... really wish spring was around the corner here in Ny

I can’t say crankbaits but I can feel it on spinnerbaits. The same thing you mentioned , I been fishing in completely open water and felt a subtle difference as you described many times. Then after like 3 casts in the same place I have caught a fish
