  1. That's pretty nice. I have never seen that before
  2. Thank you
  3. And as always you have some good advice.
  4. What do you spray it with? Sorry I have so many questions
  5. Awesome I'll have to try it.. does it tangle a lot on a bait caster or does it stay pretty straight ? I have never used flouro ever to be honest.. and with the hook set, do you set it harder bc of the stretch ?
  6. I have been using braid this entire time on my weightless plastics or senkos, should I use flouro bc it sinks or is braid ok? @geo g what do you think as well? I don't like to use leaders like braid with flouro.. so would straight braid be ok or flouro for the added sink rate
  7. Well that's is if it's light enough.. it may sink but with the wind I didn't know how hard it would effect the sink rate. If you put a senko on the the niagra river let's say, I highly doubt it would reach the bottom as the river runs very fast.. as why I asked if it would easily reach the bottom of this lake. And thanks @WRB and @portiabrat .. I figured it would be able to reach or at least almost reach. Here really isn't much current except for whichever way the wind blows. And it's only supposed to blow 4-8 mph with an occasional 10 gust.. so pretty calm day
  8. So I looked on the forums for sink rate and maybe I didn't dig deep enough but how far on average will a senko fall? Fishing a new lake Saturday and the max depth is only 15 ft but the mean depth is 7.. let's say the wind speeds are between 4-10 mph.. would he senko be able to reach 15 ft? Or at least 7 ?
  9. Hey man any day your up by western New York I would take you to the best spot. But yeah I was thinking the first one.. it's crazy how catching 5 pound bass now seem like nothing after finding this little lake. I know there has to be bigger..
  10. Yeah it's funny, in the early mornings sometime when the lure hits the water I have had bass actually hammer it without even doing anything
  11. Thanks @ObeeZee and @Jeff H I took it out back and fasted a bunch, I love how smooth it iS and I like that T wing system Sllowing for further casting.. feels solid in my hands. Can't wait to use it tomorrow on the real thing
  12. I actually fish in my canoe so I can hit the entire lakes and I try to be quiet as possible. I just am unsure of which lake might hold bigger bass. Having more bass in a lake stunting growth or maybe having less bass but bigger overall stunt growth bc there so fat and hungry
  13. So I have two small lakes to choose from both equal distance away, the problem is I am not sure which one to go with before fall ends as I don't fish in the winter. I'm trying to break my PB and both are known for having bass between 6-8 pounds.. the one lake I have been at recently has ALOT of big bass but not as many bass in general. Every time I go to this spot I catch a couple 5 pounders and 4 pounders no problem.. lots of trees in which water etc for them to hide, with all the amounts of big bass I would assume there is even bigger in there or would I be wrong? The other lake is a little bigger maybe by 15 acres and has tons of bass but smaller ones. I have only caught two 5 pound bass out of there all year but tons of smaller sized ones. Both have a good bluegill/sunfish population, lots of frogs and craws and food source. I'm curious to which one would you think holds a true trophy sized or something between 6-8 pounds. Could having to many smaller bass inhibit a larger one to be there bc they eat everything? Or would all the huge bass in each other lake stop them from growing any bigger than they are now.
  14. Go early in the morning or later in the evening/night with the whopper plopper and other top waters. Those low light conditions are best for top water bite. Fish the shoreline parallel with spinnerbait sand some cranksbaits if its deep enough. For the weedy areas I would use a weightless senko, you can use the weightless senko for the entire area as usually that always gets some bites. Just throw lures by lay downs and structures. Look for drop offs. If you see weeds then no weeds throw parallel and skip the edges or over the tops of the weeds. Try slowing down your approach. Jigs are amazing as you can use them three the weeds and brush.
  15. Yeah I really like the feel and setup. I have been using mostly lews tournament speed spool but I think I'm sold on the tatulas now
  16. What is this bizzbaots? Are they new! Must have been in the icast 2017 ??
  17. I never had any luck with a frog bc of how thick it is , at least where I live. Spinnerbait or TExas rigged worms work best. I'll start off using the spinnerbait to find some aggressive fish or where they are then slow down and throw worms into open holes , you would be surprised how fish can live in such slop.
  18. Spinnerbaits!!! I fish a pond that looks like that.. just covered in duckweed. I usually throw a spinnerbait and let it sink for *** seconds and then reel.. the pond holds bass and pike and looks exactly as the pic above just little larger scale. Good luck.
  19. So I just started upgraded all my rods and reels and I got myself a new daiwa tatula CT 100H, has anyone used this reel? Any thoughts good or bad.. I'll be using it on my e6x gloomis casting rod.. mainly for soft plastics and light jigs. It's a 6:3:1 ratio.. I hope that's not to slow.
  20. Thanks Mann nice fish yourself the other day. I was just gonna comment on it. I tried using the pop max and still have yet to catch anything. Do you use braid ? I couldn't load your video for some reason.. was going to try and watch how you retrieved it. I keep having problems with the treble hooks catching my line when I pop. I use 20 pound braid on my casting rod.. never ever used a popper so still figuring that out
  21. So today was a good and bad day , first time out in a week so I was pretty excited.. hit the water around 6:30 am for some great top water bite.. well the bite was amazing buut the fish just wanted to play today.. throwing buzzbaits and all the fish wanted to do was come up and smack he lure 2 feet in he air and swim away.. must have been a game of tag between the fish. Had some huge ones come out of the water but nothing wanted to really commit.. switched over to a senko and they just couldn't resist. Got these two 5 pound piggies back to back.. the one decided to jump out over a log and back down threw.. it was at that moment i remember why I always always use braid.. overall good day!
  22. Caption says it all. I'm sick of having to rub on sun screen and looked like a greased up bodybuilder or something. What's a good face mask or whole head mask preferably. Something breathesble you won't sweat to death in
  23. I have never had a problem with this as the hooks on the ploppers are the stickiest hooks ever, just make sure you try and play the fish ,'specially if it's a big one. I use a MH with 30 pound braid but I'm sure the heavy with 50 is fine.. if you have a MH rod i would try using that and see how it works along with playing them out a bit it ... if they wanna swim and fight well he'll! Let em run
  24. I fish in a canoe.. so no flipping needed ha. An yeah I'll make sure that doesn't happen, don't wanna snap it in half then be even more screwed
  25. Yeah I believe it's 9 guides , thanks for that advice, I was going out tomorrow morning to fish as it's all the time I have this week and was hoping my rod wasn't unusable @WRB @IndianaFinesse
