Yeah as far as everyone says it won’t rly effect much but my OCD of keeping things new. Will drive me crazy. Eventually I might forget it but for now I’ll go nuts while on the water thinking it will break with ever hookset
Yesh I posted s review on tackle warehouse .. what upset me the most wasn’t the rod being defected but the horrible customer service. The guy was super rude. Said it was weird or “sketchy” that I wanted to return it even though I only had it for like a week or 2. I like the lures they have and have had awesome results on jigs and cranks but the rods apparently not. I mean the rods are nice, they are light and strong as it seems but the service and the fact they keep sending me bad guides just turned me away. It’s the 6th sense company lux rods.
Lol well thanks, I won’t be getting anymore rods from them.. tacklewarehouse only. There wot be a problem then since I can lift the guide up a little leaving the gap?
Any specific nail polish. Yeah they had horrible customer service and gave me a hard time when I tried to return it and I only had it for 2 weeks. I just don’t want it to get worse. Already spent way more than I should on it.
So I bought a rod from 6th sense and after checking it completely over. I noticed one of the guides wasn’t fully secure to the rod. You could clearly see a gap in the epoxy and the rod guide was bent up. I returned it and they actually gave me a hard time so I won’t be buying rods again from them. But they sent me a rod back in return for 40$ in shipping.. this rod had the same problem but on 2 guides! I tried to bend them back softly this time and I heard a small crack. Now I notice there is a small crack in the epoxy on the guide. How do I fix this. Pics are hard to get. But if you zoom in on the bottom part of the guide you can see the epoxy is cracked. And if I pull down on the guide there is a tiny little gap it’s not fully stuck to the rod.
Yeah I don’t have those. I use the air wicking one. It’s rly light weight. It comes in multi color like green/brown/blue or white and grey. It has holes in the sweaty problem areas lol
The ones with the skirt legs, I assume that’s the one you are calling streamers. They are long strands of rubber like on a spinnerbaits or jig. Go with those. And I go with the medium size
White is just a natural color. Some bellies of frogs are white so i would throw those in that case. Or white for Shad or baitfish. I would say 60% of the time I go with the emerald green color bc it’s white/orange yellowish on the bottom and looks like a bullfrog. Then 30% is black for night or muddy water. Then 10% is white. So I would try the emerald green if you only wanted to buy one.
Here’s what a livetarget can get ya
Depends on the water clarity but I throw the emerald green the most bc I fish pretty clear water. But you can’t go wrong with either. The emerald looks exactly like a frog. And I do the “walk the dog” kind of action or sometimes just a couple pops and stop. Depends on what the fish want. Always pause it though, most od
your blowups come on the pause or the first movement after the pause. I usually cast out, let it sit for a few seconds until the ripples go away or just as they are almost gone and then start working the lure back to me
Well the lakes I fish don’t have Shad that I know of.. bluegill , pumpkinseed, perch and brook trout are the main species. Brook trout is actually stocked every year with 1-2 yr old trout and some fingerlings. So I thought about getting a lite trout colored S -waver and throwing that around also
Livetarget hollow body frog is insanely soft compared to others. I had best luck with those in either white, emerald green, black. Popping and non popping. Caught my PB 7 pounder on a hollow body this year.
Step 1. Join a gym step 2. Get stronger , lots of curls and wrist movement. Step 3. Start with small jars that needed opening and step 4. Twist the seat loose with your new found strength haha ?
You usually wanna chase the bait and match the hatch, bass become hungry during the fall to feed up before winter. I usually use spinnerbaits, lipless cranks, swimjigs , jigs. Swimbait. More aggressive fishing as they become more shressibe. I still use topwater also like buzzbaits and walking baits. Poppers also take noticeable mention.
How is it now during summer? I fish mainly small lakes like 50-150 acres is the biggest. Has decent depth to 20 ft range. Lots of weeds and lily pads. Some isolated grass. Do they still attack during summer as good as it would be during spawn? @1201vilbig I’m going to try it out tomorrow if it doesn’t rain. Figured I would try bunch of retrieves. Straight, twitches, pauses etc. how deep does it go without any weight on the front tie ?
Been watching lots of videos on swimbait fishing and the tackle store actually had 2 of these left so I thought I would try one out. It’s the jacksll ganteral JR in the spawn gill color .. anyone ever have any luck with them ? They look amazing. Trying to get into the swimbait fishing to catch bigger fish in ny area.
I fish from a canoe and 99% of the time I get my lure back. But if you set the hook into weeds you shouldn’t get snagged so bad that you can’t pop free.
Decided to get out early for a nice topwater bite. Was pretty calm so I started off using a walking bait and it was paying off, plenty of blow ups and plenty of fish an then all of a sudden something crazy happened. I knew something felt weird but was amazed at when I finally reeled them in.. 2 bass on the same bait at once. Never had this happen before
As J Francho asked. Is it the same hour? Sometimes the fish don’t bite that hour. There is different times when a lake turns on. When I fished at night 7-10 was great fishing. Lots of topwater activity but then it died out for couple hours. Then around 12-1 am it picked back up threwout the night. Maybe your lake you fish is active later at night or just different times. Try staying a little longer if you can. Black buzzbaits work amazing. Black worms and frogs I used in slop.
An hour isn’t long at all.. at night it’s not about numbers but more quality as I have found. I have fished overnight a few times , started around 7 pm and fished till sunup. You won’t hsve 50+fish but you will have a few quality ones. Last time I went night fishing I caught maybe 10 fish but nothing under 2 pounds. Biggest was over 5.
