  1. I looked online and I couldn’t find exactly what I was looking for. At work to so didn’t have as much time but I’m wondering what everyone uses for a swimbait Head on the 3.8 inch keitech? I’ll be using this for pre spawn smallmouth and fishing in 10 ft or less of water. I looked at the Matt Allen swimbait Head or the revenge swimbait but didn’t see much reviews. What’s everyone go to for these and weight for that deep of water? My first time really using swimbaits for smallies.
  2. I Have a 15 ft old town canoe , you think it could be mounted on that? What kind of mount is it and where did you get one.
  3. Wondering if anyone has any good idea for a camera mount or a way to get good pics while fishing from a kayak or canoe? I can usually just get a one handed hold on the fish while holding my phone to take a pic but it never does justice for the beauty of the catch. Looking for a mount or some way to get get pics hands free .. ya know so I can Long arm those dinks hah
  4. Jerkbait , jerkbaits and more jerks. But honestly either a jerkbait , jig or senkos. If you want a great jerkbait try the vision 110
  5. I can concure with that , from April to late June is heaven! The smallmouth bite is insane
  6. This is what I get to look forward to the next 4 months ! At least my dog loves the snow ..
  7. 6th sense has very good jigs, Good paint job , good bait keeper and very strong to not bend out. I also use there swim jigs and they are amazing ! The screw locks they have let me catch fish all day without having to replace maybe 1 or 2 baits and I’m talking in a 8-10 hour day.
  8. I own a 15 ft old town canoe as of now and that’s what I have been using for years now. It’s nice but to be able to be out on bigger waters and being family and eveything would be nice. My fiancé doesn’t like to sit in the canoe long so she doesn’t go often. She would love a boat, and my dad has back problems so he can’t go in the canoe either. I’ll hahe to keep looking. I know in February they have a big boating sale close to where I am and every boat brand is there
  9. Yeah I have a retirement fund. I would include more info but I don’t wanan feel like I brag. But I work at nestle purina. I put 10% into retirement and they match up to 5%. We get a 401k and a pension plan. And I keep around 8,000$ cash in a “emergency fund”. If needed I could say my take home. I am one of those who worry about things like this. I always feel something bad will happen or I made a wrong choice that’s why I ask all of you. Friends whom I never met and good people
  10. Thank you and thanks everyone for chiming in, money can always be made but memories of loved ones will be cherished forever
  11. I’m 28 years old.. getting up there in age hahah Yah exactly.. just save save save bc “you never know” so now he is 89 years old and has probably a million dollars but never did anything . And maybe used might be good seeing as it’s my first boat and I’m sure I’ll ding it up a bit.
  12. 6 14 , 6 10 , 6 03 , 5 10 largemouth and a 5 6 smallmouth
  13. I will take his all into consideration. To answer your question though, I do own a home. We plan to get married September of next year but a small 50 or less wedding. Not sure of a honeymoon , no kids bc of a issue she has, she cannot have children. I own a 2013 Chevy Silverado so that can tow and I would keep it at my house to store.
  14. Oh hell. If I could back and invest in google !! I would own 2 boats lol
  15. Perfect answer , thanks everyone else to.
  16. No no ! Not you ha. I’m saying if I got a boat and it ended up being bad decision. I just am very unlucky I guess when it comes to certain things. Sorry @A-Jay with those hawgs you are catching You did good ha. I guess I’ll just wait one more year like I said and save up. Memories made will be worth it. And will last a lifetime
  17. Thanks for the input. The boat I found was the new 17 ft adventure serious Lund. Payments would have been 217$ a month. After all my bills I have to live including food, clothes gas mortgage etc I had around 1,300 a month extra that is spent on whatever. So I figured 217$ isn’t bad .. just hate to make a bad decision big as that. Maybe I’ll wsit one more year and save up to be in a better spot. @A-Jay
  18. I like that and agree. I think my grandpa just thinks different bc like I said he grew up in different times. Went threw the depression and came from nothing.
  19. She doesn’t mind honestly. Said as long as I can afford it then go for it. She’s pretty supportive
  20. I think the same way you do, I only live for a short time and never know. Obviously I wouldn’t go out of my means but I’m sure I could afford it but they just made me second guess myself. And I would use it as s hobby and pleasure. I love fishing and would go out as much as I could to fish as I do now. Can take my fiancé and dog with me more on the boat as well and have family time. A guy I work with owns a new boat and he explained this to me. He asked what I was looking for as a payment so I told him 200$ a month.. he said ok now double that and if you can afford double then you can get the boat. He went on to explain the double is for maintence and repair
  21. So I was thinking of getting a boat from a few posts ago and I had everything ready in my mind but I went to go visit my grandparents today and I brought it up and they were very stern on not getting a boat and getting a boat is bad. My grandpa is 90 and lived a hard life, went threw the depression and was active in the war. He came from extremly poor family but made a way and is now pretty well off. But his thoughts was that boats don’t ever return money and to just save save save.. what if your truck breaks or the house needs work or this happens or that.. in his mind a boat is worthless and people should only buy things they can get a return in .. or bc he is rich he thinks everyone should pay cash for things as in just having 25,000$ cash like it’s nothing. Has anyone regretted buying a boat? Things come up and struggled bc of it? Wondering how some people with boats manage or if he is just saying this to scare me. I work a pretty good job and could have afforded the payments but he still thinks it was horrible .. any input would be nice.
  22. Yeah I should have waited.. figured people would get the joke that 1. Don’t believe what’s on the internet and 2. People always ask what “clear water is” you can refer to this post.
  23. It’s a joke everyone... hence why I said give it a laugh ha .. and sorry my vocabulary wasn’t up to par I was tired from being at Niagara Falls all day. @A-Jay @Choporoz @reason obviously you can’t bleieve eveything on the internet .. but tv is always true right ?
