  1. Omg that helps a lot !!! That was way more in depth than I could have asked for thank you. Now I know somewhat of what I’m looking at. If you can think of anything else I would love t know. Your extremely knowledgeable , again that was perfect. Hope to be on that level someday hahah
  2. Ok thank you!! I know this is going to be a long yet fun journey and learning experience. I am sure I will get skunked a few times. But I’ll do my best to learn about sonar. The different structure looks like and everything else. And by squiggles I mean lines that show up kind of like a v Shape. Kind of like this.
  3. Thank you so much. Whst do fish actually look like on sonar? Are those the squiggles lines that show up? And bait is the big Mass of dots Thanks lol
  4. Found it !! Thank you what would you normslly throw or how deep
  5. The catt as in catterogus creek ? And where is battery point hah. Sorry
  6. Sooo I purchased my new boat today!! Get to pick it up Saturday and start fishing for the fall bass. I live right off Lake Erie at the dunkirk harbor and wonder if anyone can help with locating those gorgeous smallies. The boat comes with a simple hook 5 lowrance fish finder so nothing to crazy as of now. But wondering how to locate these fish? In the spring they are easy for me to find but I don’t know where they go after that as I have never had a boat. Going to take some trial and error obviously but any advice would help. Or how to read the fish finder properly etc. would they be in 25 ft ? 35? Or shallower now.
  7. I didn’t know if a foot was a big deal. I can see going from 17-20 feet yeah. But I’m getting the bigger one. Can’t wsit.
  8. Sorry that’s out of my range. 18 it is I plan to fish all days lol. So I guess the 18 ft it is
  9. Soo I’ll be getting a new boat Monday. I decided after looking for over a year I still want to get the Lund adventure series. They have a 1675 and a 1775 which is a 16 ft 10 inch boat or a 17 ft 10 inch boat. I will be fishing mainly Lake Erie. Is it worth the extra thousands of dollars to get the 1775? I can afford both but wonder if it’s worth the price increase. Thank you
  10. Little out of my price range
  11. Yes our do have plugs to charge or plug things in! Lights or Whatver And I don’t want a walkthrew no. I want side console so it’s all open.
  12. What is that hahha ... sorry I’m completely new
  13. Like a 18 ft boat. I would have never known that! Thank you
  14. Pretty made up on most. I want a side console , I don’t do any tourney fishing but would consider a small Livewell I live 5 minutes from Lake Erie so I will be out there fishing for huge smallies. Front deck yes back is not much needed. I know a deep v for sure. And I have a friend who can store it for 200$ all winter otherwise I put it in the boat slip on Lake Erie. Oh and I own a 2013 Chevy Silverado LT. the 5.3
  15. So I finally decided to get my first boat. We have a big boat show coming up next year around end of February early March. Many good deals and low rates bc everyone is competeting with one another. I was wondering why to look for or what to look out for. Suggestions , tips , I have always been. Fan of Lund. I like the newer adventure series style but will look at anything. Price range is around 21,000$. It isn’t that far away but seems so long
  16. Omg I’m already in love haha. Specially with the new rod ! The orochi is amazing , it’s so sensitive that I feel every little tick of grass or thump of worm. I feel myself setting hooks on reaction. Like my mind is saying hey something felt off and my body just sets the hook and what do you know , a fish !
  17. Thanks I appreciate it. Yeah I was pretty heart broken but getting better everyday day. I’m sure as time passed it will be forgotten. Or once I get a new PB haha
  18. First “higher end” reel. I always have used lews or smoke quantum pt , my first daiwa tatula sv tw. I have this to pair with my new megabass orochi xx perfect pitch comming in tomorrow!! Woohoo
  19. Hey I love 5 minutes from dunkirk harbor. 40 minutes from buffalo. Fishing was good. But this week has slowed down. Air temps at night have been 50 degrees and is startijg to cool fast. Can’t find them at all. Caught like 4 fish in a day trip
  20. Well thanks for the heads up! I wouldn’t wanna be stripped gears at 250$ lol. Any other reels you suggest? I honestly like the quantum PT and Lee’s reels to. But I don’t think they are as smooth as a daiwa
  21. Recently just bought the megabass orochi xx perfect pitch, still figuring out what to use as a reel haha. Thinking the daiwa tatula sv tws
  22. Thank you very much !
  23. Sooo I got the megabass orochi xx and I’m looking for a decent reel to pair with. I got the perfect pitch for well, exactly that. Pitching , flipping. Punching some mats and deep cover. I have been using a daiwa Tatula ct on my other rod but it’s a little heavy and bulky. I love the T wing system and the daiwa lets me pitch effortlessly. I would like something that palms easy and is light but also holds decent line just Incase I wanna bomb a cast. Thank you for your help whoever responds. Price range is around 200$ maybe 250$
  24. I went with the megabass orochi xx ! The perfect pitch rod, I can’t wsit to get it. It was a super hard decision, once I get it in person and if I decide I don’t like it then I will get the helium 3, it’s hard to choose bc I can’t handle them in person but I’m sure both are about equal and fish amazing. Now to find a decent reel to use haha
  25. Yeah I know I wish I could , I don’t have any decent tackle stores around that carry those. I talk to Gary from tackle trap and he had high things to say about the orochi xx .. made the decision even harder lol
