  1. Lmbo! ? Glad to see that your sense of humor is still there. Laughter is some of the best medicine.
  2. Thank you. I'll be casting and buzzing them, especially since it's raining here now. Hopefully the rain doesn't last too long because I'm anxious to get out to the lake and fish. It's been almost a week since I've been fishing, not by choice...lol. How are you feeling today? Hopefully better! ☺
  3. Thank you for the pic. I was thinking that's the way you were talking about, but I wanted to be sure. It's always nice to see a pic of something, if possible. Seeing what is being talked about makes all the difference in the world. Thanks again for your time and advice.
  4. Hello and welcome aboard Ken!
  5. Thank you. I'll have to try them out on a shaky head. I'm still fairly new to bass fishing and I fish from the bank. Haven't learned how to pitch, flip or punch yet. Thank you. 1/8oz shaky heads are all I have for that rigging. When you say to t-rig them with the tail pointing down is that with it pointed towards the hook point side or the shank side? Also is it better to use an EWG or round bend offset hook for this? I have both in 2/O, 3/O and 4/O sizes. Only round bend in 1/O size. Would they work well for a drop shot also?
  6. Just bought some 6" Zoom Ultravibe Speed Worms. Never used anything like this before. What would be the most effective way/ways to rig and fish them? Can they be used for drop shots? Any help would be most appreciated.
  7. Well I went to Academy today looking for some Zoom Centipedes, no luck. However, I did pick up some of these. Zoom 10" Ol' Monsters in junebug red and some 6" Zoom Ultravibe Speed Worms in green pumpkin. Hoping to try them out tomorrow or at least soon.
  8. Hello and welcome aboard! When it comes to line it depends on things like water clarity, size lures you're using, recommended size line for your reel and what not. If the water is really clear you may wanna go with flourocarbon, if you can afford it, or even mono will work ok. In stained and dingy water you can use the same lines as listed above or you can use braided line, if you can afford it. If you use braided line you can get a heavier pound test than what your reel is rated for just make sure the diameter is equivalent to the same highest pound test that your reel is rated for. I'm still learning myself but I think I'm correct about that info. Also, if I'm not mistaken, the drag should be set to about 1/3 of the pound test line you're using. For instance if you're using 6lb. test line then your drag should be set at about 2lbs. Hope this helps.

  11. Got this pic off the Zoom website. Zoombait.com
  12. Thank you. I'm fishing from the bank so I'm normally in fairly shallow water. They should work just fine then.
  13. I plan to use them on a shaky head next time I go fishing. The only shaky head hooks I have right now are 1/8oz. Are those a good weight to use?
  14. Hello and welcome aboard!
  15. Hello and welcome aboard! You may need 2 rods and reels. I got a Lew's Carbon Speed Stick 6'6" medium power fast action spinning rod with a 6.2:1 reel at Academy for $70. It's a nice rod and reel for fresh water. You probably need something either heavy or extra heavy for salt water. Good luck finding what you need/want.
  16. It's nice to have a great place like this to come to and talk about our favorite past time. Everything running smoothly now. Thanks for appreciating us as well. You're still the Man! ?
  17. I don't have a computer so I log in here with my Android phone. I always assumed the slow loading was my phone. Earlier tonight I clicked on a picture and backing out of it got a parse error syntax error unexpected in php message and couldn't get on here. That's fixed now but I can't load my profile at the moment. That's the only problem I'm having. Don't know if anyone else is or not. Thank you for all you do for this site and the great people within. You're the man, Glenn!
  18. These are the jigs I have. The top 2 are both Arkie jigs 3/8oz one on the left is a bluegill kind of color and the one on the right is a black and blue. The one bottom left is a 1/4oz Strike King swim jig I think and the bottom right is a 3/8oz football head jig not sure of brand name at the moment. They have black and blue colors also. Should I be tying them on with the bottom facing me? Football head jig has a horizontal eye, should I tie it on with the line coming from the head end going towards the hook point? I want to thank you in advance for your kindness and advice.
  19. I use palomar and uni knots only. Palomar on anything I can get back through the loop before securing it and a uni on everything else. I see you asked about running the line through the eye of the jig with the bottom facing you. I have a question about that, it may sound stupid, but is the bottom of the jig the side that has the hook facing away or toward you? I've only tied them on with the hook side facing me. Is that wrong?
  20. Lol! Love it! ?
  21. A while back I bought me some $4 Ozark Trail polarized sunglasses just for fishing. Not sure the lens color or even UV protection for that matter. They work ok, I guess. My regular pair of sunglasses broke so I use those as an all purpose pair. Really wanting to get a new pair just for fishing, though, and those Yum brand ones sound like a great deal. I sure hope they have some at the Wally Worlds around here. Thank you.
  22. I'll have to check into some of those. Do they help with seeing into murkier water better? Can they be found at Wal Mart or would I need to look elsewhere?
  23. Lmbo! Sad but true! ?
