  1. Hello folks! I’m interested in this post too due to an incoming visit during this august to Alpharetta. Any good fishing spot would be much appreciated! And any fishing buddy too!
  2. Thank you, GodfatherofSeoul, I knew that forum, but I’m having issues signing up there. I’ll try to fix my account and i will post this topic there too. Thank you again!
  3. Hello friends. I will be in the Atlanta metro area during almost entire this august visiting my sister. As she will be working, I will have a good amount of days to go bass fishing. My first target will be that jewel the shoal bass are, but I'm planning to send one of my float tubes there waiting for me to come for some largemouth fishing days. I'm really interested in some kind of fishing I would not be able to usually do in Spain, what involves basically a lot of cover and why not? a good sized bass (for Spanish anglers, a 6 pounder is truly a trophy bass). Could you give me some advice on float tube fishing spots with lots of cover in and out of the water up to 2 hours driving from Atlanta area? Any still water river would be a paradise for me. What about to go to chickamauga with my float tube? I'm very interested in this lake. Any regulation about float tube using I have to know in Georgia and Tennessee? Will I only need the current state fishing license? And, finally, will I found any unusual risk or dangerous animal in your waters? My country is very safe in this sense, but you have a lot of wildlife there! Any help will be much appreciated! I can't wait till summer to be trere! Thank you all! PD: absolutly catch and release only!
  4. A 5,5 pounder with a custom painted in craw pattern flatsided coffin lip crank (an evergreen flatside replica). I have caught several good bass in this lure this year in the rip raps.
  5. I think it depends the river you are going to fish... Here, in Spain, I use to fish slow little rivers absolutely plenty of wood with a float tube... In these places a jig with a craw trailer is my go to bait. In the summer, with a lot of algae in the surface I usually fish with frogs or with a punching set up.
  6. Thank you, Mike!
  7. Thank you! Gracias, amigos!
  8. Thank you all! What a good response!

  11. Hello friends. I´m David from Granada, Andalusia, Spain. And yes, we have pretty northern largies here in the 2-7 pounds range (spanish official record is 8,81 lb). I have read in this wonderfull forum eventually from a long time ago, but I haven´t signed up untill today. I prefer to introduce myself before posting any message. I´m 38 years old and I fish all my entire lifetime. I discovered bass fishing when I was about 8-10 years old and instantly became a bass fishing fanatic when here, in Spain in the late 80´s and early 90´s, we were a minority and it was so difficult to find good lures (people used to fish with trout inline spinners or live baits and there was almost no specific lure distribution) or information (there was no internet and the avaliable information about advanced techniques were only 2-3 pages a month in a fishing magazine I buyed collecting some money with a lot of effort) sopecially for a child. I like trout flyfishing too, but I actually spend almost my entire time in bass fishing and, sometimes, in saltwater spinning. I am a bank and floattube fisherman. I´m not an expert but I have learnt a lot in this forum and I´ll try help users when I think I can. Nothing more except being sorry if my english skills make my messages hard to read for you, I´ll try to do my best... Here I go!
