  1. I am not sure I completely understand your question. The whole “resolution” comment has me a bit thrown off. As far as running different transducers is concerned, Humminbird makes a splitting cable that allows you to run a separate 2D and side imaging transducers that I think will accomplish your goal. Make sure you get the one specific for Solix and specific for Mega imaging.
  2. My dad was always my hero and fishing was a bond between us that lives on in me eternally. Literally my first memory at 2 years old is of fishing with him. He made some poor choices early in my life and we were separated when I was 10 years old. As soon as I was able to drive, I would have called up my dad and told him I was picking him up and we were going fishing. Unfortunately, that never happened and not much time after I was able to drive, circumstances became that it never could happen. The things I would trade to have that chance again. Looking forward I hope to build such a bond with my own son.
  3. Had one steal an original custom painted DEPS 250 right off the back deck of the boat.
  4. I buy the 1-1/4 oz Jackhammer, take the blade off then put the blade from a big blade chatterbait on it. It allows my to do 2 things: 1) make bomb casts which I am learning more and more to appreciate increase the likelihood of bigger fish; and 2) get down into thicker vegetation that a light chatterbait will just get caught in the tops. At my reel speed the 1-1/4 oz rides at about 4-8 ft below the surface depending on the trailer.
  5. Any current sales on Jackhammers? Need to load up on the 1.25 oz.
  6. I think of a bass like a dog. You shake a toy in front of its face it’s gonna use it’s mouth to grab it. Sometimes it’ll come across the yard sometimes you really gotta get up close and rile them up.
  7. 100% a live imaging sonar will result in the next world record bass. The newest version has 400 ft of range. Given that, live sonar systems can be setup like a game trail camera studying the behavior of fish. Moreover, certainly the definition and interpretation of live imaging will begin to determine more and more the size differences.
  8. I have both. Look at it this way, FFS is rapidly developing, whatever you get now will be outdated in a couple years max. Spot lock trolling motors (Ultrex, specifically) have been around without a significant change and conceptually the mechanism is well defined. A spotlock trolling motor will be a big workhorse for years to come. FFS will continue to change and get cheaper and FFS for bass fishing really only is useful small portion of the time (although, when it’s useful, it can be highly effective). A spotlock trolling motor I use at every single outing. I vote new trolling motor.
  9. I find close range with spinning gear to be the most difficult, with the most difficult presentation being trying to dropshot docks at close range.
  10. They look good, are excellent quality and I heard they catch fish too ?‍♂️
  11. The musculature on that 21” fish would suggest they do get heavier.
  12. In the floor of the boat until the end of the day then in the trash at the ramp. If it’s windy, in one of the rear compartments.
  13. Man the shoulders on that 21 incher are gargantuan. That's a potential 8lb class fish in the spring.
  14. Catching a limit of 12-14" bass to fill your card then going hunting really depends on the lake. At a local like I fish. I can go out and catch 100 12-14" fish on about any given day fishing a dropshot on submerged vegetation lines. 8 out of 10 days will not catch a fish large only doing that. To catch the bigger fish you have to go off shore and fish a moving bait or big worm in the ditch vegetation and will be lucky to catch one or two over 15" but will not likely catch the 12-14". It depends on the lake.
  15. I work every other Saturday until October 1. So I’m down whenever. We can decide who’s rig to take the day of or before. Mine has all the bells and whistles (which I have learned to really increase my big fish catches)… it’s just on the smaller side.
  16. Let’s go sometime. I’ll pay for gas. Your rig or mine. You can choose the lake(s). didn’t have to drive that far at all for these fish tho
  17. In my neighborhood it’s pest control and security systems. There must be some sort of pyramid scheme situation with these pest control companies because it’s always teenagers to early twenty-something’s bebopping around on Segways. Like A-Jay, my dogs are trained to ‘greet’ anyone who comes the front door. The security guys really are ridiculous. They will sit out in their car the whole day. Sometimes at the curb in front of my house. One time one of them insisted on coming in my house. I told him there’s not a chance and that seems like the opposite of something someone selling security would request. When he tried to hold the door open after I tried to shut it, my dogs let him know it was time to go. Recently, one came around 9 PM. I saw him going from door to door so I turned off my doorbell so it wouldn’t wake my 5 month old who we had just had a heck of a time getting to sleep. This idiot doesn’t even try to ring the door bell but just bangs the door down AT 9 PM! I was very angry so I met him in the driveway. He told me he knocked because he didn’t want to wake anyone who might be sleeping. If you think people are sleeping then go away. No one wants to buy your junk if they are sleeping.
  18. Over a month and no posts. Fishing crazy god right now with this very steady weather pattern. It’s a bout to cool off so will probably slow them down or change them up a bit.
  19. There are populations of suspended fish now being targeted, that are essentially naive to fishing pressure that are now being caught due to advances in technology. In my personal experience, these fish are not small.
  20. Well that’s a shame.
  21. Any board certified ear, nose and throat doctor should know about Ménière’s disease and initial treatment and management. If they don’t, I recommend you find a new one and I say this as an ear, nose and throat doctor. Now not all ear, nose and throat doctors can surgically manage Meniere’s. For that you would likely need an Otologist for which a good ENT would refer you.
  22. I see patients with vertigo every day. It comes in a few different varieties. Peripheral and central. It is truly debilitating for some. Peripheral is something wrong with the hearing organ itself or mechanisms by which balance is sensed. Central is something wrong with the processing of the balance information by the brain. There can be a few different causes for each. There is specific testing, vestibular testing, that can delineate between the two which can help determine need for additional therapy and specify treatment Sometimes getting a hearing test is an important factor and possibly evaluation by an ENT doctor to determine if you need further testing. Hope it gets better.
  23. Caught hundreds if not thousands of bass on my Dobyns 705CB Champion. Recommend 100% as squarebill rod.
  24. Spooled up a Daiwa Lexa and strapped up my 9.2 oz KGB King Shad. Just holding the bait out and gently swinging it around it seems it’s going to be a great rod for this.
  25. Ended up ordering one to try. Will report.
