  1. Hello, I may sound really dumb for this one but I am looking to mount a Hummingbird Helix 5 fish finder on my kayak and I was wondering if its included with a battery, or If I have to buy one, or what to buy. Could really use help : ]
  2. color doesn't really play a gigantic role in fishing during the summer unless the water is ultra clear or ultra dirty. try em out no harm in trying. - Liam
  3. I'm a northern guy too and let me tell you if you are familiar with floating rapalas, a jerkbait will be easy for you. If you are fishing above or on the edges of weed beds throw the floating one, in cold water throw a suspending one, and in water where you aren't sure of the depth, or you know its's deep throw the sinking jerkbait. Jerkbaits also do really well in current for smallies. - Liam
  4. Thoughts on shimano crucial? I bought a 7'3 Medium Heavy split grip casting rod. I bought it for fishing my local river for smallmouth, I set the hook into a log [my drag was set] and the top two guides including the tip snapped clean off, I have only had the rod for 6 months. What should I do?
  5. I really really really recommend the Abu Garcia vendetta I have and it's a great rod for the price.
  6. While scrolling through the forums today I found someone who thought the "wacky rig" was founded in toledo bend. The wacky rig was founded in New Jersey and was originally called The Jersey Rig. The Jersey Rig consisted of a small 3 inch sinking plastic worm and was hooked through the middle. Thus, the jersey rig was founded in New Jersey
