  1. I tried Real Magic once it made the line coil terribly, stick with KVD.
  2. I don't understand what you are asking? But I would not recommend a cheap combo of any kind to anybody that wants to enjoy fishing.
  3. I rarely miss a bite on a swim jig, I normally use a 3/8 oz swim jig along with whatever trailer I'm using. I spread the weed guards wider, I feel it helps on the hookup. I'm using a Medium Heavy rod with 15lb copolymer.
  4. Received my new Virtus Jewel Blue Diamond rod yesterday (Bladed Jig model). I have a Daiwa Tatula 80 installed on there.
  5. I usually use Trokar Weedless size 1 for most of my wacky rigs. I normally use the Bass Pro Stik-O worms since they have the closest weight/salt/fall rate as a Senko and you can get them cheaper. Then a normal wacky tool with 2 o-rings crossed/x pattern.
  6. I just buy my long sleeves on ebay, they are only $10-11 a piece. They are very lightweight and keep you as cool as you can be in the hot summer. They are thinner/lighter than some of the other brands and they've held up well over a few seasons.
  7. Just sell it and get a decent amount of your money back and try something else. The one nice thing with TW is the simple return if you don't like it and try something else.
  8. I've have a couple Powell crankbait rods that I have been very happy with.
  9. If you don't break one every now and then you aren't fishing in the right spots. ?
  10. I've been using mono for cranking along with a MH/Moderate Fast action rod. It works fine for me, I feel that mono will give a little stretch so the hooks don't rip out. I've just never have tried the idea.
  11. I ordered mine from Digitaka.
  12. I received email confirmation of my 2 Daiwa Tatula reels for the Daiwa/Simms promo today.
  13. Just about any soft plastic trailer, grub, craw, worm etc that you can put on a hook will work, different actions for all different baits. Last year a simple twin tail grub on a swim jig & bladed jig were killer for me last season.
  14. I'm gonna find out on the "Tatula Promo" I mailed my labels out a couple weeks ago. ?
  15. I don't own the Amistad but I used the Froggin/Pitchin model which specs are basically the same besides rod length. Very solid stick for sure, Falcon has great rods and amazing warranty.
  16. Daiwa Tatula CT, Shimano SLX MGL, Lews Speed Spool LFS
  17. 20% off Bass Pro brand plastics.
  18. Mostly what I use here in Nebraska. Spinning: 8lb Crankbaits: 12lb Variety of baits: 12-15lb Froggin: 50lb braid
  19. That is a tough price for good combo. If you can save up another $25-40 it will give you a larger selection/choices. Keep an eye out for sales/discounts. Reels: Daiwa Tatula CT, Lew's Speed Spool LFS Rods: Daiwa Aird X, Powell Diesel, Lamiglas XP Bass, Falcon Bu Coo, Dobyns Maverick/Fury
  20. I purchased a couple swim jigs last season because I never tried fishing them, it ended up being one of my most productive lures. It is a good lure you can cover water with or you can slow it down. It is pretty weed less also and you can use different trailers on it.
  21. I've been really happy with my Powell Diesel Crankbait rods. Really good rod under $100.00
  22. You will be fairly limited on choices with the shorter length. These would be my rod suggestions for around that $100 point: Okuma EVX Falcon BuCoo
  23. Main difference is the SV Spool/Button and the additional price.
  24. Box specifications say: Fluoro/Nylon: 14lb/95 yards, 16lb/80 yards PE/Braid: 30lb/95 yards, 40lb/70 yards 12Lb-100m(109.36 yards), 14lb-85m(92.9571 yards)
