  1. I'm too poor to boat flip a bass, my luck I would break a rod on a 12 incher. 😆
  2. Falcon, Kistler, Daiwa have all been great service and lowest cost/warranty related.
  3. I did all my reels last month, cleaned & lubed. I had a loose guide on one rod so I repaired that a couple weeks ago. We still have ice on our lakes, but with the warm weather this week we'll probably be seeing some open water.
  4. Started making some Black/Blue creature baits.
  5. Picked up this Daiwa Exceler LT for $62.89
  6. They work, I've caught plenty of fish on them.
  7. Hope you can get some bites when spring arrives.
  8. I wouldn't consider either of those lures snag less, but yes I always have a pitching jig, swimming jig, bladed jig on a rod at all times.
  9. Received my goodies yesterday, thanks Mike from MA.
  10. Shipping my package on Monday 12/16.
  11. Motley Fishing Black Friday https://www.motleyfishing.com/product-category/black-friday/
  12. PM sent for FISHMAS 2024
  13. I've been doing my own reels for around 6 years. You'll have the initial cost for tools/lube/oil but will pay for itself after one reel.
  14. That bait cost almost as much as my boat
  15. I've been using Super Lube Synthetic Grease and TSI 321 oil
  16. I've found the weights to be longer in length compared to some that I have. I would recommend to buy the one's that have the weight printed on them with the no chip coating for sure.
  17. I'm out fishing in the rain as long as their is no crazy heavy winds. One thing I learned that Berkley invented the Berkley Lightning Rod for a reason... 😆
  18. I just leave enough to cover the tip of the hook, I'll also spread the weed guard out a bit wider.
  19. I would also check your weed guards on your jigs, they are usually too long. It is a minor thing that can make a big difference.
  20. Powell Rods 30% sale. CHECKOUT ENTER CODE: MAYDAY
  21. A few good bites from last week.
  22. A little restock on some soft plastics, the vegetation at a couple of lakes that I fish are thicker than usual. So I've been pitching these baits with 1/2oz-1oz weights to punch through the thick stuff.
  23. Bass Pro Shops Stow Bag, you can get a 3 pack in two different sizes. They are thick material and have a bag seal on them & a zipper. They have 2 different sizes, I keep all my bulk stick baits in them.
  24. I wish we could have more game wardens in Nebraska, which unfortunately is a lacking situation in our state. I believe I have been checked 2 times in my life If you have your boat/equipment, fishing license/paper work and safety gear you should not have any issues.
  25. They have done that for years, I purchased a couple of their KLX rods about 5 years ago. I've been happy with the 2 KLX models that I own. The rods aren't as balanced as some other brands, but I've fished them hard and have held up well.
