  1. Pool water was 58 degrees, I tinkered with them a little today, put #4 fusion hook on front with size3 heavy wire Split ring, on rear I put #6 owner st 41 treble with heavy wire split ring . Now it rises very very slow, and sits nose down slightly. Might get me some suspend dots to try also,
  2. Has any one got any experience with this bait, I bought 4 yesterday, tested 2 out in the pool today, and they didn’t suspend, they floated rapidly, wondering if anyone else had this issue?
  3. Try straight across the lake from state park, follow channel markers, go into jacks Creek, have pretty good luck in September and October in there. Also try where the congaree river dumps into lake, lots of trees, logs and stumps.
  4. Has anyone tried the Zorro baits tail culling system? What’s your thoughts on it
  5. I don’t think I explained correctly, after the down view goes black after speeding up, when I slow down it never starts working again, stays black until I cut off the unit and turn it back on, and then it don’t read correctly for long, but the 2D always works, Don’t read at faster speeds, but when I slow it goes right back to reading right,
  6. Does any one have an idea about this, when I turn unit on , down imagining will work until getting to about 10 mph, then screen goes pretty much black with little dots every now and then, 2D sonar works fine. I believe it will be a transducer issue, but what would yalls opinion be. Unit is 2 years old
  7. This is the lure, same color and everything.. I’m not even sure where I got it
  8. I didn’t read everyone’s post so someone may have covered it, but I have had 2 motors do about what you are talking about, one was a 1988 Yamaha, oil injected , unit was over oiling at certain positions on the throttle, 2nd was 1987 mercury, it would run like a scalded dog on the first run, then like you said when you go to take off again, it would bog down. Same if you idled a little while, I started have to rev the engine for a minute or 2 , to burn off excessive fuel or oil ? After that it would get up and run again . On the Yamaha I disconnected Oiler and started mixing oil in gas, the mercury I ever pin pointed it, I would just rev it up for a bit when I went to go again, pretty sure it was carburetor related though.

    WORMS!

Any of the zoom u-tails, are super where I fish, I like the speed vibes also
  10. Anyone ever heard of , and or fished a heddon baby zara. Can’t find any info on it, seen some on eBay, and all were listed as vintage heddon baby zara. I figure someone on here has to know something about them.
  11. The reason I made modifications is because I got a bunch of the original chatterbaits for next to nothing, and I love tinkering and tweaking any and everything from lures to lawn mowers. Just thinking if anyone had an abundance of the original chatterbaits this would solve there issues of binding up. Just trying to help others in case they had the same issues
  12. Some may know about this, some may not, just thought I would throw it out there. I was having problems with multiple z-man original chatterbaits not vibrating due to the blade and the jig head binding. I have heard of others having the same issue, I took the blade off the jig head, just bend the eye on jig slightly to remove blade, took the wire line tie off, drilled and enlarged the original holes in blade to an 1/8 inch. Reinstalled blade on jig head, then put a duo clip in place of of original line tie, I have no more binding issues at all. I hope this benefits some of y’all.
  13. I would say the hatchery area, would be one of you best areas to try, you can fish along the dike for a long way in both directions.we were catching bass along the dike last weekend. We were fishing from a boat, But you can definitely fish from the dike, you will be standing on rip rap when close to water. we were catching them on a white spinner bait, first thing in the morning throw a frog. Hope this helps you a little.
  14. July and August, for me
  15. The next time it does not start, turn prop by hand about 1/4 turn, and try it again, if it starts working, replace the armature. It will have a bad spot where the brushes ride. This can happen from from prop being stuck in weeds and not turning while button is depressed. Had it happen twice before I figured out what not to do
