  1. Palomar...unless you are tying line to line...then use uni to uni.
  2. You mean like Pfleuger ? Why is Pflueger supposedly the 'wrong brand'?
  3. Hookem and Marty Thanks for the reply? I'm still a little confused though....is fused line the same as braided line? Also, whats the diff between copolymer and fluoro? And, what about hybrid line??
  4. 8-) Doctor Raul strikes again! Now that's funny. I don't care who you are, that's funny! Raul is correct, of course, but you might be satisfied with the Shimano Symetre or Stradic at different pricing points. I guess I'm not familiar with what a 'mook' is.. I use a Pflueger reel and I am well pleased with it.. does that make me a mook???I suppose you are not a Pflueger fan??? You have excellent advice here and all you really need. Beware though, soon there will be posts recommending Pflueger reels. These folks are known as mooks. They are really good guys but their taste in fishing reels is not what it should be.
  5. Smitty I have the model PLS100 (8 bearings) and I am WELL pleased with it...very smooth. I bought it with the rod on sale at Academy. I think you will enjoy your Pinnacle. Good luck.
  6. If this has been covered elsewhere, please let me know. My question is what is the diff between 'superline', fluorocarbon, copolymer, hybrid, and 'fused' line??? Anyone have any ideas? Do most of you prefer one type over the other? and why?
  7. I use P-Line CXX. So far, I am well pleased with it. I'm not sure if it is fluoro or what??
  8. Hi My bro-in-law uses Crappie Nibbles on his jigs and usually catches quite a few crappie (of course he shares with me - . My question, is do any of you use it and what, if any, success do you have? He said he uses the chartruese color.
  9. To those of you who use Reel Magic on your lines, how often do you spray it on? Everytime before you fish?? More than once a day? When the line starts to 'act up'? Every other trip? I am using Yozuri hybrid and I use it whenever my line 'acts up'. Just curious as to what others do. Thanks
  10. Jim I still have a few of them...good lure. It has props on front and rear...makes good noise!!! I"m not sure if I have that particular color, but I still use mine when the situation calls for a top water lure.
  11. I think Eagle is made by Lowrance. You can go to the Lowrance home page and maybe get a manual there??? Also, you can download a 'product emulator' that you can run off of your pc that may help you. Good luck.
  12. So, the reason only 1 person answered my question was because I asked it incorrectly?? I thought my question was fairly clear??? I guess I'll have to brush up on my question 'grammar & etiquette'!!!
  13. Hi I had asked this question in another topic on Carolina rigs, but only 1 person answered. My question was "What lb test do you use as your leader when you Carolina rig? Do you use the same as on your main line? Also, do you use braid. fluoro. or mono?" Thanks
  14. Hi I'm new here, so if this has been covered elsewhere, please let me know. Do most of you use a different lb test for your leader than you use for your regular line? And if you do, do you use braid, fluoro, or mono? Thanks
