I just ordered a dobsyn swimbait Rod to throw large swimbaits. I was going to throw a tranx 300 on it but when I went to tackle shop they had a deal on the discontinued curado 300 e. Anyone use the curado for a swimbait reel?
I have a truck with a t bar type rack attached. I used to fish out of a wilderness systems 160 then a KC Kayak. I would like to have the ability to bring my dog, wife, and or friend when I go fishing.
I want to be able to bring more gear for a paddle/camping/fishing trip.
The Wenonah is light. Made of Kevlar. I'm assuming it's pretty tough as well but I'm assuming.
I have heard the sportspal isn't sturdy in terms of hitting a stump etc.
i did heavily consider a native ultimate propel but still leaning more towards canoe.
I am getting a canoe to fish out of. I am choosing between these two. There's not a way for me to demo either.
I dont know know too much about canoes. If you were picking between the two, is one brand better than the other? The fisherman is more than twice the price but lighter.
I will be fishing ponds, lakes, and the atchafalya basin.
Thanks, I fish a ton, all red fish and speckled trout. I have an 18 year old and a 14 year old and expecting a new baby girl next mont, so I had to begin fishing closer to home. I can't do these 3 hour drives to the marsh, so I have picked up bass fishing. Watch videos, read, then go try. I am loving it.
I just started bass fishing a week ago. I caught my first bass on a River2Sea spinner bait.
I missed 3 on a savage rat bait. This morning a big one, at least for me, crushed it!
I cant figure out how to upload a picture so click here to see the fish
I own a twin troller and love it. I just put a little 2 stroke mercury 2.5 hp on it to get to fishing spots a little quicker. My son and I are both 6'5 and I weigh 270 he weighs 200 and we have zero issues fishing comfortably out of it together.
We go in just as shallow of water is go in my kayak. I also take it to the marsh as well.
I've found the forum to be very useful. I am an avid saltwater fisherman. Red fish and trout specifically in Louisiana marshes.
I recently have begun bass fishing. I'm loving learning finesses and techniques and building my skill sets as a bass fisherman.
Love the forum.
