  1. Solid fish! I'm probably fishing Long Pond Harwich tomorrow. I've never actually caught a fish there... usually after getting skunked for a couple hours I pull my kayak up the herring run into Greenland Pond and lay waste to 1lb largemouth in there. Supposedly Greenland has big ones but my biggest in there was around 16.5", call it 2.5 lbs. I'm really hoping to stick a couple nice smallmouth.
  2. I'd love to, but current pre-fishing rules don't let us fish with a guide on waters 30 days prior.
  3. So I'm probably fishing the big kayak tournament there in October after I get back from Afghanistan. Hoping I can put some of what I've learned here to good use. Thank you all so much for the quality info.
  4. We crushed it on Flax Pond a couple days ago. I caught a 19" smallmouth and my buddy pulled in a 5lb, 10oz largemouth. Total we caught close to 30 fish from 3pm until dark. I'm glad to see Cliff Pond producing. I've fished it twice and only caught one bass. I'm interested to try it again... Maybe tomorrow...
  5. I fished Seymour pond in Brewster last night in 15 mph winds, fog, and drizzle. I threw the kitchen sink. Caught 1 little smallmouth on a white spinnerbait and hooked a 1.5-2 lb smallmouth but lost it right as I got it back to the boat. Only other fish I caught was a perch on a one-knocker lipless crankbait. Water temp was 64 degrees. I did see a 3+ lb smallmouth cruising the shallows but it headed for deepwater when it saw my kayak.
  6. New poster here. Just moved the family to Brewster MA. I fished one of the Harwich ponds yesterday... water temp 67 degrees. Landed just over 40 bass, mostly dinks. I landed three in the 2lb range and a half dozen in the 1 lb range. Everything else was small. The largest ones were all caught on white spinnerbaits. I did well on wacky-rigged senko and a 4" swimsenko with a belly-weighted hook absolutely rocked. I think I had strikes or landed fish on 11 of 24 casts.
