  1. I couldn't agree more with you on this one. My dad passed at 32 and my mom at 40. So I understand how short life can really be. I'm 34 and still here with a beautiful wife and lil boy so I consider myself lucky. My wife fishes and hunts and never complains when I come home at 1 o'clock on Saturday night's having spent money to not get any in return lol. How lucky can a man get
  2. I haven't but my uncle in law loves it. He said it's been tough last couple of times he's went though cuz of what he thinks is an algae bloom.
  3. This ones pretty easy. Lowe's is 28 miles away home depot is like 70 and I couldn't tell you where the nearest Menards is. Sometimes convenience is king
  4. I love mma. Hate Mayweather. That said unless mcgregor gets unbelievably lucky or floyd dives for a ton of money it shouldn't even be close. Put em in a cage and Floyd hasn't a chance. I wouldn't bet on it but I'll probably watch. Like a lot of ppl have said it's entertainment
  5. I've recently dove into the realm of nightfishing myself. I recommend a 3/4 ounce black spinnerbait with a big Colorado blade, a black buzz bait and above all plum apple ol monsters t-rigged. I haven't been doing it long but have got a check my last 3 times out. Those are good trial and error lures to start with. Look for brush piles around docks and such. Good luck and be safe.
  6. I like to cover water till I get bit then slow down and figure out if it's a random bite or there's multiple fish around. Unless I'm fishing somewhere I know there's gonna be fish then I'll just fish that area the way I feel will work for the conditons.
  7. I agree they believe it's injured food and an easier meal. I'm pretty sure that's just predatorial instinct. But that's just me. I'm definitely not an expert.
  8. That is awesome!!!! That really is what it's all about right there. Won't be long and he'll be asking daddy if he needs some help ?
  9. My favorite is a top water walking bait. I'm also that guy that'll put down what I'm throwing and launch it as every breaking fish in the area. As for most productive.... a Texas rigged watermelon red baby brush hog. I've caught fish on these everywhere I've thrown it.
  10. If I had to pick a pro it'd be Jacob wheeler. He seems like a really cool guy. But I'd much rather spend a day with my dad. I was 7 when he passed away so our time together was extremely limited. He loved to fish and passed that onto me. So there'd be nothing in life I'd appreciate more than the spend a day on ouachita in my lil procraft with my father.
  11. April 1st of this year on lake ouachita. 24 boats for a benefit. Most everybody had more money in fishfinders than I have in my boat. Hadn't caught hardly any fish that week. Also my ole ladies first tourney. When we all took off we went up the lake while 23 other boats screamed the other way. We didn't win but got 4th. I also got schooled by my girlfriend that day who was throwing a Carolina rig for the first time lol. Was a great time and unless we can't get a babysitter for our son she'll be my partner every time win or lose.
  12. My first boat. 99 procraft 16 foot with a 90 hp mercury. Nothing fancy but I love it.
  13. I'm a budget fisherman myself so I understand the situation your in. EBay and dicks flash sales are your friend. Actually today dicks is having a flash sale online and you can get a pinnacle solene baitcaster for $25 and a skeet Reese rod for like $40 so for $65 your baitcasting. That'd leave you a lil money for lures. Some people may not like pinnacle reels but I have 4 fish em all the time and never had a problem.
