  1. Little rock
  2. No I can't find it. I was in store Sunday though. Maybe I took it for granted it would be on their site also or maybe it was just at our store. If that's that's the case I do apologize
  3. The Garmin striker models don't have maps. The GPS on them just shows you your tracks and where on planet earth you happen to be on a blank white screen. Now being a Garmin guy I would point you towards an echomap 53dv or 73dv or sv. Bps happens to have the 73sv on sale for $450 pretty sure you can get a 53dv for around 3-350. Their preloaded maps are pretty good and have the quickdraw function for unmapped bodies of water.
  4. Yeah man. I can pretty much do any day barring some dramatic weather. We should be able to get on some good fish. The trap and topwater bite will hopefully be on good then it's starting to pick up. Stay in touch and I'll give you my phone number and such so we can nail down some details. We don't have Texas sized bass on ouachita really but we may be able to pick up a couple 3-4-5 pounders.
  5. If you happen to come through the west side of Arkansas namely the hot springs area I'm sure I could help a fellow member out. I do have a boat and plenty of good fishing on lake ouachita and the surrounding lakes and rivers. My boss is a pretty cool fella too so if it happened to be a weekday I could probably swing that too. As for the lack of combos and tackle no worries I have plenty. Maybe we can post some latest catch pics lol
  6. Follow the shad. I live in Arkansas and it's picked up tons since a cold front passed this past weekend. The topwater bite isn't great yet though. But we've been smashing em on a trap, 6xd and a Carolina rig. Don't really even matter what's on the c-rig. Just drive over a school of baitfish mark em and let it rip.
  7. T-rig with a baby brush hog or a dinger, spinnerbait, and a topwater (spook or frog) i prefer a spook but it prefers to not be in the grass or pads.
  8. I also use right handed baitcasters and reel left with spinning gear. But I've been doing it like that as long as I can remember. I work with a guy who's right handed and does both. It's just a personal preference and comfort deal.
  9. I don't have that model okuma but I do have a 6'8 evx topwater/jerkbait rod and absolutely love it.
  10. During the day a sk 4" finesse worm( candy craw )on a drop shot with a 3/16 weight on humps. At night a cranberry colored yum 10.5" ribbontail with a 5/16 weight fished around docks and brush and sometimes randomly in the water while picking a backlash lol
  11. Falcon lowrider finesse worm and jig. My favorite rod ever. I have a 7'1 mh mojo bass too and they're not even close
  12. Caught a bunch of these yesterday. Not exactly a hawg but it's who was with me that matters. Drop shotting humps on ouachita can be so much fun. First time I went fishing just for fun in a while had a blast and so did he.
  13. Kind of off topic but on the point of "spot" sharing, come January they're removing the length limit on "spotted" bass here on ouachita. Any of y'all make it this way a lot of us would appreciate ya taking some of these "spots" home to eat. They are WAY too many. If ya make it this way and are bank bound I'll even share my boat with ya to help fill your freezer. ?
  14. It's been tough here on ouachita lately. How many of y'all from my area are experiencing the same thing? I think those couple of weeks of fall weather followed by this stupid hot couple weeks has em caught in between.
  15. It was like that here on ouachita today. Fished a small tourney and caught 1 keeper. 7lbs won. It was close to touching 100 today here though. I think the 2 weeks of cool weather followed by brutal heat has got em caught in between.
  16. I paid 4800 for my 99 procraft with a 90 hp merc. It's been a good little boat. I too was a boat newb luckily my uncle in law was not. I'd recommend something like this. There'll be plenty of ppl with more boat knowledge than me weigh in. Just make sure the transoms solid on whatever you get.
  17. I fish mainly from my boat mainly. But throw in some river fishing from shore and canoe. When I'm in the boat i carry 15-16 combos and all my tackle minus a box of jigs and a big bag of plastics. No need to carry literally everything. On the bank a couple poles and a small box. Canoe I carry a couple combos and a 3600 box with a couple bags of plastics. Guaranteed to have the bigger rebel craw and some watermelon red brush hogs and a pop r on those trips. I absolutely love fishing floats it's what I grew up doing. Some of my best memories ever come from these
  18. They are not "my or your" spots. But if I have to put in the time and effort to find them then figure out how to put fish in the boat there so should everyone else. There are exceptions. If I find a spot holding a ton of Kentucky's in the 12-15 inch range I'll be real open with anybody. If I come onto a spot holding a school of 2-6 lbers my ole lady would be lucky if I took her there lol
  19. Lol negative and if their was he for sure wouldn't win. It's a $20,000 to win end of season tournament.
  20. Yeah man. My partner this year was wondering the Mr bass of Arkansas last year. So I wound up on the short side a few times. But I also outfished him a few times and also learned quite a bit. Won not wondering sorry
  21. This is the most recent and one of my favorites. My favorite is a video of him catching his first bass.
  22. Definately some type of spook.
  23. Thank you. That's awful though. Whatever happened to respecting someone else's property. I don't know if anything in life bothers me more than working my a** off to get something then someone just taking it.
  24. Technically mountain lions are like unicorns in Arkansas they don't exist. Even though I've seen them personally and on camera. Those eyes in this picture though are a smaller buck luckily.
