  1. I emailed Shimano directly about this, roughly a week ago 7/18. They told me "The DC’s are going to be trickling out to retailers over the next few weeks as they roll off the assembly line."
  2. That's odd, it's not applying the discount for me anymore either. My friend just texted me saying the same thing... I hope there's a solution for this.
  3. If it helps, they don't charge your card until it ships..
  4. Tackle Warehouse is having their 4th of July Sale. 15% off almost everything.. This includes the Shimano Curado DC. I just pre-ordered mine. $212 after discount. If you're seriously interested in this reel I would pre-order now. Unless you really don't care about the savings. http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Shimano_Curado_150_DC_Casting_Reel/descpage-CRDC.html
  5. Good call and info. I'm renting the Curado 200k right now and it is pretty d**n smooth. I assume the Curado DC will feel very similar to the 200k.
  6. The MSRP on it is $249.99, OP states this too. Supposedly RH will arrive in September and the LH will arrive November. You can actually pre-order off of tacklefreaks.com, Shimano even gave him one to do a review on. It doesn't look like you can adjust the line settings(F, PE, N) internally like previous Shimano DC reels. But you can open the plate so there must be some kind of adjustment inside.. Settings on the adjustment wheel are 1-4. 1 - for long casting 2 - for braided line 3 - for fluoro 4 - for skipping and heavy wind I'm no expert on this, just regurgitating info I've read.. Might be hard to make a decision between the Curado DC and the Scorpion DC.
  7. Hey Guys, My friend and I will be fishing Lake Camanche this weekend. This will be my first time there but my friends 2nd time. We're renting one of the bass boats for the full day. Hope to get around to at least half of the lake.. Any tips on what to throw? Our plans are to break the ice with a t-rig senko and then just throw swimbaits, crankbaits and jerkbaits. What colors have you guys had the best luck with? Although, it seems like this time of year the bass are eating anything. Thanks for reading and I look forward to any tips and suggestions.
  8. You should get the fish brain app. It's a crazy helpful app that shows the location people caught, what they were using, when they went..etc You can also see who uploaded the catches and DM them and meet up. I've seen a few females upload on there. Some of them have caught some good decent fish. It's a pretty helpful app. You have Quarry Lakes near your area. I've only fished there once and didn't get anything, but it doesn't seem like too bad of a local spot. Also try Lake Elizabeth, I have no idea how the fishing is there.
  9. Thanks for the welcome guys!
  10. Thanks for the welcoming everyone! Oh man, I hope they get it this year. As a strong Warriors fan, I think the Cavs might be able to pull it off again... We'll see how Game 1 goes tonight
  11. Hey guys, Been reading a ton of threads here for the past year and decidedly to finally join. I'm located in the Bay Area. I usually try Lafayette Reservoir, or Shadow Cliffs. Recently there's been a lot of action at Lake Del Valle. I hope to keep reading some more good info. Glad to see a forum where new people are welcome and not immediately bashed by Keyboard Warriors.
