Hey All, I am contemplating the thought of using the following as a bass and trout setup, thoughts on it being acceptable? (target would be stocked trout in local streams... i.e. gunpowder) Rod: Abu Garcia Veritas 7" Medium Reel: Lew's Tournament Metal Speed Spin T300 (or could I get away with a T400?) I already have two baitcasters and I need a spinning rod for a drop shot setup but also want to try to make it eligible for trout fishing? At the very least is the rod good for multipurpose (I can always get lighter reel if needed)...thoughts? Current equipment: My rod setup: Abu Garcia 7' MH w/ Shimano Casitas 150 Secondary/cheap rod setup: Ugly Stick GX2 MH 6'6 w/ kastking legend royale Thanks, Ross

Whatever works haha... at the moment though all I have for equipment is a ton of lures and two baitcasting rods lol. I def. want to try loch raven or liberty but trying to go with a partner if its going to be on a boat. Just tried to do some google maps pond finding and I got skunked yesterday and today... demoralizing sigh lol. I think I might just stick with Ellicott City/Columbia until some friends want to do reservoir boating.

Hello All, Recently got back into fishing after finishing my graduate program. I live in Baltimore County and prefer to fish non-tidal lakes, ponds, reservoirs etc. I would really appreciate some local areas pond or fishing area recommendations - I usually hit Centennial park and will expand to Wilde Lake next most likely. I am also looking to link up with other bass anglers or groups... don't know if I am quite ready for a fishing club but curious to see whats out there.
