This is my first year of fishing, so I really don't know what to expect! I've probably caught 15 bass all year fishing once a week since April. I really don't know where to fish, Bonds lake has been tough, seems like they're in the middle of the lake these days. It's still nice to get outside though!

Hi all, I just started fishing this year! I reside in Wheatfield and other than Bond lake I'm not sure where I should check out. I went over to the overflow pond at Ellicott creek park and talked to a couple guys there. Seems it's been fished pretty hard, I couldn't get any bites but it's a nice spot! Any suggestions on spots around me? I've heard of some ponds in Akron but I'm not exactly sure where. I know holes are trade secret so I understand not wanting to share! Thanks for all the info here. Hey All! Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Jon (33) from Western New York (Niagara Falls area). I just started fishing at the beginning of April. I fished a lot in my early teens but always nightcrawlers for sunfish and bluegill. I was seeking a new hobby that involved something outdoors since I work a desk job all week and here I am! Since I've made this leap I quickly realized the knowledge that goes into fishing is pretty extensive. I'm fortunate enough where at my desk job I can have a youtube video going on the other monitor. I've had a constant stream of Bassresource, etc going for the last month. Long story short second week of April I got out and caught my first largemouth bass of my life. The excitement of that bass hitting my lure and landing hooked me instantly (no pun intended!). I never thought fishing could create such a rush. That said, I'll end my introduction here.
