It looks like the new deltas are an unsanded version of the IM blanks that NFC make? I have heard that the IM's are like a more modern GLX blank but I'd have someone with experience with them confirm to be sure. I do hope so. Personally I have only tried NFC HM blanks but man are they sweet! I might have to give the deltas a whirl as well. To many rods, not enough time.

I was thinking of giving the ETES610MXF-SS a try. I finesse fish most of all in northern IL and those blanks look pretty sweet! Great work. I hope to be even remotely close to you in craftsmanship some day.

Another great place to go is Get bit outdoors. They have a lot of really good stuff that Mudhole does not carry like Batson products. Between Mudhole and Get Bit you can acquire just about anything you need to build any freshwater rod. Both are great companies with great customer service. I just started building about 3 years ago but I have a few dozen rods under my belt and I must say it is incredibly rewarding and addicting! My advise to you is start low with a small investment like a starter kit for building and another starter kit for building a rod to get you going. Then after a build or two of something less expensive, give a go at something nicer. Another great resource is Rodbuilding.org. The guys there know EVERYTHING about the art and science of rod building and are very helpful as long as you ask the right questions. I would be happy to help with any questions you may have as well. Hello All, New guy here and I thought I would start out with sharing a new rod I built for my Dad's Father's Day present. It's an MHX 7' medium power blank made for throwing small plastics. I'm pretty happy with it and I am sure he will be too. The link is to a few more pictures of it. My camera was on HD mode so the files where way to big to upload here.
