  1. Yes, Yes and Yes
  2. Thats the staple in the St Croix line-up and has been for years.
  3. Grub because i can cover more water with it quicker but I wouldn't texes rig it. The question is very open ended and there are many factors that would come into play in my selection.
  4. Both the elites and xtremes are out. If you can find the older models at a little cheaper rate that would be the way to go. The main difference between the 2 are the elites have full cork vs the xtremes have split grips and are not cork.
  5. St. Croix Legend Xtreme 7'0 MH Fast Casting
  6. TROKAR 5/0 Flipping Hook is my choice. What ever hook you use put the largest hook that will fit into the bait.
  7. 6'8 - 6'10 I use the St. Croix Legend Xtreme 6'9 ML Xfast
  8. LC RC 1.5
  9. My daughter has been using a circle hook since she was 5. Its a perfect hook for kids wacky rigging a senko.
  10. I use a 3700 deep Plano box for my cranks. I put hook keepers onto all the hooks. Remove all the boxes dividers and place the baits into the box. You can fit a lot of baits in one box.
  11. Wow, thats a great question. My first reaction was NO, not any that they make anymore. The old premier glass rods (black blank or the older blue blanks) for sure. The 2 rods that I would say that can handle both baits that your asking about as well as lipless cranks are: St Croix Premier Casting 7'0 Med Heavy Moderate or the St Croix Legend Xtream 7'2 Med Moderate. There are 2 choices in 2 different price ranges out of the St Croix line-up. I have over 40 St Croix rods and I think the crankbait rod that can handle the largest range of baits is the premier 7'0 MH MOD. However, its my least used cranking rod because i use bait specific rods more often.

  14. There are 3 rods in the mojo line what one are you asking about?
  15. I love the new packaging. All the stores are puting all the baits in the old packaging on clearance. 100% fluorocarbon for less then $10.00 a spool.
  16. Pre Rapala Wiggle Wart, Reaction Innovations Vixen in hard baits and Roboworm 3" reapers in a soft bait.
  17. I fish with a 1/8oz tube 95% of the time. My setup includes a St. Croix 6'8 M XF legend xtream rod, Daiwa sol reel and 8lb seaguar invizx fluorcarbon. I use either a 2 1/2 or 3 1/2 inch tubes. I use a custom speedloader jig style tube head. If i'm using a 2 1/2 in tube i use a 3/0 trokar tube jig hook (2/0 in a mustad ultra point) or a 4/0 trokar (3/0 in the mustad) in the 3 1/2 inch tubes. I will use a 1/16 tube jig head all the way up to 1/2. When fishing these tube you always want to watch your line. Watching your line is a must when fishing a 1/16 oz jig head. As you increase your jig weight line watching becomes less important and you can use more feel. Night fishing the feel is a must and watching your line is a non factor. The best way to fish light tube jigs by using feel is by using the rod. Many people try to move the tube with the reel and not the rod. Place the rod to side of your body. Keep a simi tight line at all times. Use the rod tip to drag the bait along the bottom. Remember that the distance that the rod tip moves the bait is also moving the same distance. At the same rate of speed also. Only use the reel to pick up the line slack with the reel.

  20. Yes, your right on the sizes. The other ? I think your asking is if they swim good. I think that they swim just fine. I fish them 95% of the time on a yamamoto swimbait jighead. The only negative thing that I would say about the Basstrix is that they sweet really bad.
  21. Fished the 5XD and they are the real deal. They are smallmouth killers. I like that they are 5/8oz and have a slightly smaller profile then the 6XD. The hooks are 1 size smaller. The smallies seem to get them in there mouths better the the larger hooks. The bait will go 15 foot no ploblem on 10lb. The one issue is the paint job is inconsistent. There baits are either made in China or Costa Rico. The 5XD's that I have seem the better paint jobs are from the made in China baits.
