  2. Yea today was a good day out on the water, Wagn is a awesome fisherman, i learn alot every time we go out, also got my first fish on a jig in a long time thanks to his advice!!! lost many lures to catch that fish but it was worth it nice job wagn!! -matt-
  3. Vey good info in the above posts, I fished my first Night tourney a few weeks ago and i thought the same thing it should be good we get the night bite and early morning bite, I had never fished the lake before and was going as a non boater(draw trail). That would be the first thing i would do differently is prefish the lake, you have morning/night bites but you need to be on the fish at the right times. The first fish i caught was about thirty minutes into fishing a small keeper just over 12 inches, the sun went down and i did not get another bite untill around 2a.m. a smallmouth on a jitterbug, to small to keep. fishing was extremley slow my boater did not land a fish or even get a bitein 12 hours. Next advice was already mentioned by Urleybay, keep your batteries charged. The boat i was on( a brand new skeeter)cranking battery died, after connecting one of the trolling motor batterys we got back to the launch one keeper in the boat a booster pack may be a good idea to bring just in case. good luck -matt-
  4. I don't know if you have used the trick stix im guessing ur talking about ***. But I will tell you I absolutly love them and won't buy another GYM senko unless in a pinch. They are soo much tougher. U can litteratly fish all day on 1 or 2 worms where after about 30 or so casts with a GYM they fall apart or after a few fish. I useto go through about a pack of those every couple days or if the fishing is good 1 pack a day. With these Ill be suprised to go through a pack every week. As well as their cheap. Order the dents and dings bag too I got a ton of trick sticks that are good in their. x2 only will buy gym if absolutley have to, *** is the way to go! -matt-
  5. np unh, yea the trick sticks are nice i bet you will like them better than senkos, cheaper and more durable. -matt-
  6. UNH if you go up there on the weekend or after 3 or 4pm the boat traffic picks up alot , an anchor might be good to have. The fish completely moved from last time i was there. where i caught the 3 1/2 and a couple others last time i caught only a small dink this time. they appeared to be on deep structure(10-15') like fallen tree's or deeper weeds. its tough without a fish finder. also i tried fishing most of the docks on the lake and had very little sucess i tired skipping senkos and flipping space monkey's. good luck -matt-
  7. That is not a bad idea at all. That southern NH thread got started this year, and it's been tough to decide where to post. I've been posting in this thread for three years, so I'm having trouble breaking the habit. in fact, here's my fishing report. Pretty good luck all weekend. I caught a lot of big smallmouth and a few largemouth as well. Most of the fish were caugth in deep water around structure. If we are going to shut down one of the threads it may make more sense to shut the Southern NH thread as this(A shoutout to NH) covers all of NH. JMO BTW Jaystraw when Marc Hamel showed up to the launch all the guys were like d**n we might as well give him our money -matt-
  8. Hey nice fish everyone couldnt get out all weekend but got out monday to kingston lake and did ok 5 lmb biggest around 2 1/2 lbs will update with pics later. -matt-
  9. Deff true today, most fish came before 8am, after that it slowed alot but they were still agressive and up in the shallows. -matt-
  10. Thanks unh and Sausage. UNH-you could go either way, if it was my choice i would take the bass tracker, i took my 14' v-hull with just my 50lb thrust bow mount and it was a longgg ride back to the launch prob 20-30 minutes, In clarks its called Great Pond, if you end up going let me know!! ill meet you out there. Sausage- Some of the smaller lakes i have been fishing have been warm i would guess water temps 75 maybe closer to 80, i wish i had a fish finder to tell. -matt-

  14. Hey guys fished the tournament on ossipee and had a tough time. Left the launch at 7p.m. and caught my first fish at 7:30, small around 1 1/2 pounds but a keeper. Fished for the next four hours without a bite, then a small mouth on a jitterbug to small to keep though. That was my last bite of the night! The guys i was fishing with missed one on a buzzbait and that was all the action he saw. Fishing was extremely slow. We had to leave early(at about 5a.m.) because the starting battery died . It was my first time on a bass boat and it was sweeett a new skeeter with a 200hp on it!!! all in all good experience just hope there is better fishing next time!! thanks everyone for all the advice! -matt-
