  1. Yea thats where i took it today with the current owner, but it probably wont be ready for a while, its a project, i just hope the stringers and transom ae ok :-/ matt Takes two minutes to know the answer to that question. One walk around the boat should have given you the answer. Thanks for the informative post.... -matt-
  2. With the wiring all done im going to start on the floor, i think i am going to cut the floor to size lay it down, then fiberglass it connecting it to the sides, then carpet over it. What thickness and type of plywood should i use? For the fiberglass should i use cloth or mat? any info/tips on type of wood, or fiberglass, would be great!! thanks -matt-
  3. Thats because your not using *** trick sticks -matt-
  4. Go with the Shimano Compre, i have have owned mine for three years now with no problems, the rod is vey sensitive, i really like the finger cut out in the cork, it is also very well balnced. The St. Croix Mojo is very tip heavy IMO, i have never used one just held them in the stores. -matt-
  5. Thanks Dad_Golf_Fish, What size wire should i use for everything else? Lights, fish finder, bilge pump? Also do fish finders come with thier own power cords to run to the back or should i wire it now? thanks -matt-
  6. Anyone have any good wiring diagrams? I'm thinking that I'm only going to run one trolling motor battery and one cranking battery will this be enough? or should i go to one cranking battery, trolling motor battery, and another for lights, live wells an fish finders. also what wire should i use for what? what size? is there certain wires made for marine use? any info on wiring would be greatly appreciated! thanks -matt-
  7. I picked up my boat today!! :) I had a buddy of mine come and he did a compression test, everything was good, he checked the transom and stringers and said he thought they were good. There fiberglass so they cant rust i think!?! Here are some pics...

  11. Exactly what UNH said just wanted to check it out before making the purchase. I went for a ride in it today started right up, smoked a little bit, he took me for a short ride then i drove. i got it right up on plane guessing 30mph, i did not want to full throttle it because there was no floor and i guess it supports the hull??? Would have taken it home today but i didn't have the right size ball(2" only had 1 7/8") so I'm going back tomorrow to pick it up, also going a compression test while I'm there!! -matt-
  12. Nice fish baboosicbass08! UNH that milfoil has gotten alot worse I'm surprised it's still fishable :-/ -matt-
  13. I talked to the guy and he told me he wasn't able to put it in the water today, i guess there was no gas tank in it or batteries, so he got that figured out tonight, now Thursday i am going to go for a ride see how the engine runs. will post how i make out thursday thanks again everyone -matt-

  15. Nice Fish everyone!! I have been going out from about 5-8 30 and doing very good, before sunset its senko's and when the sun starts to go down top water poppers have been working great, a couple good 3lbrs, here are some pics. matt
  16. I'm Looking at buying my first fiberglass boat and found this on craigslist. http://nh.craigslist.org/boa/1336660173.html I went to take a look at it, it needs a new piece of flooring from were the front deck ends to the consoles and all new wiring. I have not heard it run yet but the seller did tell me it runs smooth(will go for a ride before buying). He said it was 15' 6" long. This being my first fiberglass boat buy, what are some things i should look at and check out? I would think #1 would be the motor making sure it runs good. I was just wondering what else i should look for before i make the purchase. also the coast guard plate was all faded on the boat and i couldn't make out the hp rating is this over powered? Is this a good deal for a project boat? any input would be greatly appreciated!! thanks -matt-
  17. Welcome to the forum, Check out the anyone have any luck in southern NH thread and A shout out for NH Fishermen -matt-
  18. I use a 7'2" Daiwa Mike Iaconelli rod for froggin, swimbaits, big ribbon tail worms, carolina rigs, flipping jigs and sweet beavers, deep cranks very versatile rod. also well balanced not tip heavy like the mojo IMO. I also only have two rods a medium action spinning combo and this rod so they need to be versatile. http://www.***.com/descpageRDCDAIWA-DMICR.html they are listed at 119 but i only paid 90 for mine so shop around. -matt-
  19. Nice fish UNH, was thee someone at the boat launch telling you about the bacteria in the water? i wen to bring the dog in the other day and they were telling people not to go in the water. just a heads up here is a article i found http://www.eagletribune.com/punewsnh/local_story_232001727.html/resources_printstory I got out the past two nights to long pond in danville, caught over 10 lmb each trip, as the sun went down the bites increased and they started to explode on poppers. very fun and exciting fishing. -matt-
  20. Very deep and very clear water, deff. a smallmouth lake, prepare for alot of boat traffic. good luck -matt-
  21. Nice Fish UNH!! congrats on the new PB!! I went out the past two mornings, Sunday to long pond in danville caught 12 lmb all on a rage toads in heavy weeds and this morning to kingston lake, only caught three. 3 fish were caught this morning before sunrise when it was cooler, the bite seemed like it stopped when the sun started to rise, although managed one crankin a rapala DT16 in about 20+- feet of water.
  22. I also switched to fireline braid, much quiter than stren sonic braid and power pro. best braid i have tried by far. -matt-
  23. Went to just about every ford, chevy, toyota dealer in southern NH in the past three days, this is how i made out. Chevy Colorado- found one $31,000, for a mid size pick up!! Ford Ranger- still gets 14 mpg city will not qualify for cash for clunkers Toyota Tacoma- Found one for $20,000, and that dealer is not participating in cash for clunkers. Car shopping sucks, looks like ill be driving the ranger for a little while longer.. **sorry about the off topic post** -matt-
  24. Wagn, i went to look for a new car friday afternoon/night, while driving on 495 at 70mph, tire blows out, ended up being the tie rod end, fixed that this morning now im deff. going to find one will post later how i made out -matt-
