  1. IMO i dont think it really matters as long as its heavy enough. on my 14 foot v-hull i use a 15 pound weight from my old weight set. works great ;D Bassmaster6
  2. theres my 14 foot deep v. plain right now but soon it will have a deck on the front half of it. o yea i have a 30lb trolling motor and a 4 hp outboard for when i want to get somewhere in a hurry ;D Bassmaster6

  4. i agree with rw and senko megastrike is the way to go. megastrike is more like a paste than a oil. when other more oily attractants hit the water it all comes off the bait. bassmaster6
  5. Went to a fishing expo yesterday and picked up a couple of new frogs. they are made by river 2 sea. i got the bully wa 65 in copper green and ghost. has anyone used these before? how are they? thanks Bassmaster6
  6. I want to put a deck on top of the seats on my jon boat. its a 14 foot 55 inch wide deep v. is it going to be unstable? also is there any way to attach a transom mount trolling motor to the bow? thanks bassmaster6

  12. i have a 14 foot vee hull boat. i would like to put a deck on it and have some storage underneath it. i know there are alot of jon boat mods and conversions on the site but they are all flat bottom jons. i was wondering if there was any sites that give you ideas or walk you through putting a deck on or maybee a post on this site that i missed. the boat is stored in my garage for the winter so i have the luxury of doing this now instead of waiting for the spring. thanks Bassmaster6

I have a older 4 Horse johnson that i have on my 14 foot v-hull. last year was my first year with it and it took alot to start i replaced the spark plugs but it didnt reallly help i was wondering wat else i could do to help it start easier/quicker.when i sprayed starter fluid on it it stared right up. id really apreciate some advice on this. thanks bassmaster6
  14. Christmas is coming and im looking to get a new rod and reel. im looking to spend about 75$ on each. im looking for a spinning reel and a 6'6 medium-heavy rod. if you guys have any advice on what i should get that would be great. thanks Matt

  16. the gas is about two days old so it prob isnt that. i havnt checked the plugs either is there a way to check them or am i better off just getting new ones? thanks Bassmaster6
  17. hey guys went to kingston lake yesterday with the boat and go to start the ob up snap pull start string breaks. but i manged to catch a couple off the land near the docks nothing great all under 2 pounds. today went to long pond in danville with just the trolling motor (wich i didnt have at kingston) caught 6 over 2.5 pounds and another 9 under 2.5. biggest was alil over three and 17 inches. and all on top waters thanks lpainl. love seing them come up and get it. oo and im also deff in if there is going to be a tourney/get together down in southern NH Bassmaster6
  18. i have a older johnson 4 horse and it doesnt seem to want to start until about the 20th pull. i thought it was just because it was cold but after about ten min with it running i shut it off and tried to start it back up and again and it took another 20 or so pulls. just wondering if you guys had any ideas why it takes so much or is it just normal. any input would be great thanks Basssmaster6
  19. hey guys havnt been on the site in a while looks like you guys are doing great here in NH! ive been out a couple times just been trying to fine tune the baitcasting skills some luck no monsters. i was just wondering if anyones been out on kingston lake and hows the fishing been. also what are you guys using later on around 5:30-8.   20. hey nh guys today i went fishing on lond pond in danville and did great. I caught 12 largemouths and a ton of pickrel. the larrys were alll bewtween 13 and 23 inches. AND I CAUGHT MY PERSONAL BEST largemouth today it was a 23 inches and alittle over 4 pounds. i caught all of them in very shallow water from 1 to 5 feet. i used a top water popper and buzz bait.   23. I have never oiled greased or even taken apart my reels before. I read some threads on here about what grease to use and how often but my question is where do i put oil and where do i put grease and how much. i have a shakepeare catera spinning real and a bass pro shops extreme baitcaster. input on where and how to grease and oil reels will be greatly apreciated. thanks bassmaster6
