  4. the first boat i ever fished out of was a 10ft flat bottom with a deck and as long as your carefull you will be fine. i now use a old town canoe me(250lbs) and my buddy(290lbs) with all of our gear, a trolling motor, battery and we stand up to fish so as long as your are carefull and dont excesivly move around it should be good. bassmaster6

  6. Hey, i was wondering what techniques i should use for the combos i have and what line to put on them braid mono or fluro. here is what i have and my thoughts. #1 Baitcasting-Daiwa Mike Iaconelli 7'2" H Pitch and Skip with Shimano Citica E i was thinking 20# braid use for flipping and pitching jigs and texas rigs maybe frogs? #2 Baitcasting-Berkley Lighting rod 6'6" MH BPS Extreme reel. i was thinking 10-14# mono like suffix swimbaits, topwaters maybe? #3 Spinning-Shimano Compre 6'6" MH shimano stradic. I was thinking Berkley 100% fluro 8# for finnese worms, crainkbaits, spinnerbaits. any input would be great!! Thanks Bassmaster6
  7. His show can be annoying but it is nice for me because he often fish's lake's i fish up here in NH. I met him on lake massabesic last summer, he was not throwing the infamous fleck spinner-bait but he was throwing a wacky rigged worm and he had far more success than i was having. so i wouldn't say that he is a bad angler. i would like to see him fish tournaments tho to see how he does, and who ever watches the show is an idiot may be a little harsh don't you think? 12. Is it transom or bow mount? i have a 40 thrust on the bow and unless there is extreme winds it pulls my boat along with no problem at all, i have left my gas motor at home and just went all day with the 40# and it worked awesome.
  13. My Favorite tackle shop is about 10 minutes from my house, northern bass supply. It has just about everything you could need. they also know the area lakes, they know whats working in the area, and also it has great customer service because its a small tackle shop. i do take the 2 1/2 hour trip to bass pro or cabelas once and a while, just to see what they have. 18. It's going to be Christmas soon, and I am looking for a new baitcasting rod and reel set-up. I am looking to spend less than 150.00 on a rod and 150.00 on a reel. I am going to mostly use this set-up for flipping and pitching. I was looking at the E21 Carrot Stick and the Shimano Citica. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, BassMaster6
  19. Thanks for all the info!! I am not sure of the year or brand of the boat or motor. There is a trailer for the boat but it was a home made one that the person i bought the boat from made, it is in good shape tho and all lights work and wheels are good. both motors are going the trolling motor is a motorguide i think its a 1998. what would be the correct hp to push a boat like the cajun that i showed? i have seen other bass trackers with 25hp and 40 hp on them is that enough power? thanks, all the input is greatly appreciated Bassmaster6
  20. I have a 14ft v hull with a 4hp motor and a 55# thrust trolling motor. both motors run strong and the boat has no leaks and is in good condition. i am looking to upgrade and get a new boat but i have some questions. 1. Would i be better off with a bass tracker alluminium boat like this http://nh.craigslist.org/boa/865992700.html or a glass boat like this http://nh.craigslist.org/boa/851898834.html? 2. how much could i sell my boat set up for? any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks Bassmaster6
  21. Well i have been fishing out of an older 14' alluminum v-hull, it has a 4 horse motor and a 55# thrust trolling motor. Ive been saving up some money and now its time to upgrade so i can fish bigger lakes. I have about $2000 saved up so far so i would like to stay around that price. any information about what i should look into getting would be greatly appreciated. i did see this boat on craigslist: http://nh.craigslist.org/boa/831898313.html thanks Bassmaster 6
