  1. So I just got a new vehicle the other day, and the hitch on it is higher than my previous vehicle's. My previous vehicle was an SUV that had an aftermarket hitch installed, so it was lower to the ground resulting in me having to use a 1" rise ball mount. The trailer tongue was perfectly level. Now with this new SUV, I'll be needing a drop. So I got a 4" drop ball mount. But it isn't perfectly level. Now, I've read some places that say it can be high or low 1" either way and that's fine. Other places say if it's gonna be off, it is better if the tongue is raised as opposed to being lower, and other places say the opposite. In the past I've always been lucky with getting trailer tongues perfectly level. Do you guys think this is level enough? Would a 5" drop (do they even make 5") be better, or would that drop it too much? It is a single axle trailer, so it shouldn't be affected too much if it isn't level, right? Here's a few pics. The first pic is right behind the coupler. That's where it's measuring the tongue being a tad high. A little further back and the readings are different. Appreciate it!
  2. Hey TnRiver, are you measuring this guy or interrogating him? "Tell me...where you...hid the...BODIES!!!"
  3. Molting Craw does quite well for me.
  4. That is a beaut. I like the new Goby color as well.
  5. Ok, time to finally see what all the hype is about. If these things don't catch me a fish on every other cast, I'm not gonna lie, I might be a tad disappointed. Tho judging by the smell of these things, I may catch more cats and bullheads than bass!
  6. Very happy with these. Usually size 1, sometimes 1/0.
  7. Ok, so this isn't a new Gambler Bait. I added the "'Lil Stumpy" in there. So I was going to throw out (or repair) a few used Big EZ's that had been torn up near the head area. But then I wondered if I could salvage the back half of them. So what I did was cut the bait in half at the segmented area of the body. I trimmed the edges/corners so that the body would sit more flush against a swimbait head. I used an All Terrain Tackle Smallie Smasher Swimbait Head. Either a 1/0 or 2/0. It makes a nice short, stumpy profile. And even tho it's quite short, it still gives off a ton of kick/roll. On the fall, it has a cool spiral action to it. Judging by the sizes of the fish I caught on it on my first outing, I'm still determining it's effectiveness. Haha. I did manage a big crappie tho.
  8. Tackle Direct has Mango Magic in stock.
  9. Let's put it this way. I've yet to get my order in the mail and I already caught my PB on them.
  10. Appreciate it. Grabbed 4 packs. Have yet to try these to see what all the hype is about...
  11. A couple of decent buggers I caught on my last two trips out, including a 25.5" walleye. Bass caught on a Morning Dawn Roboworm and Jackall Gavacho Frog. Walleye caught on a Norman DD22.
  12. I still love the Trick Worm, but I find myself reaching for a NetBait T-Mac more often.
  13. And this is why I can never take Lunkerhunt seriously (Skitter Lizard).
  14. Now we need Strike King to bring back the Pork-O!
  15. Or, how many are gonna see this and actually thing it's a frog-style bait? "Hey, why isn't this thing floating???!"
  16. You guys joke, but just imagine what the kids nowadays who have never seen this are thinking. "What? They're really turning a pig into a jig trailer??! LOL, like THAT'S gonna work!! These Uncle Josh guys are NOOBS!! "
  17. When in doubt, punch!
  18. Make breakfast? If they get to that point, I'll buy one. ?
  19. Thanks you. I fiddles around with it this morning but didn't see anything. Ended up dropping it off at a marina to let the professionals look at it.
  20. I have a Minn Kota Edge 70 bow mount. Today as I was fishing, all of a sudden it wouldn't allow me to turn sharply left. I could turn left a little...like maybe 10-11 o'clock. I could turn right, but the most it'd turn was maybe 4-5 o'clock. I couldn't get it to reverse in either direction. Keep in mind the prop is spinning/working fine. It's just the turning that's having issues. After using it for a little longer, I couldn't make it turn at all. It is pretty much stuck in the 2 o'clock position now. Any ideas what could be the issue? When I manually grab the shaft and try turning it, there's almost a geary or gravely sound coming from either the shaft or maybe even inside the head/control box. Now I'll admit, I put this motor thru the ringer. Always chopping thru thick weeds/pads. So I'm sure that doesn't help. Just wondering if it's something that can be fixed or if I'd be better of buying a new one. My dilemma is I've been wanting to upgrade the motor (came on my boat when I bought it new in 2018). But it turns out the recessed area for the pedal on my boat isn't big enough for the Ultrex, Ulterra, etc's foot pedal. So for now I'm stuck with the Edge I guess. Looking to possibly upgrade the boat next year or after. Thanks for any help you can provide.
  21. Can't help you out. But the new BassX just debuted at iCast. Supposed to be a step up from the current BassX. Just based on looks, I hate the colors they went with.
  22. Mid-size Rage Bug? Yes please.
  23. 10000 Fish Zuchi Bug looks pretty wild.
  24. Woooow. That's surprising. ? Thanks for the info.
