  1. Really like those Power Slides. I still curse Rapala for ending the 13 Fishing line of baits. The hard baits were top notch!
  2. Kittery Trading Post has 25% off 2 qualifying items. Today only. Code TUESDAY25.
  3. I have the first Concept C and it's a great reel. I've had it for about 6-7 years now and it's still going strong. The pearl white finish has held up well. Not sure what to expect from the C2, but I've heard a lot of positive things. I just ordered one from Fish-Field yesterday. They have it 40% off right now. For $138 I figured I'd check it out.
  4. @A-Jay Not a sale, but did you notice TW has new Daiwa DX rods available? Looks like the DX-Type H is no longer. The glass reaction line has 2 models now, and they also added a bottom contact version to go along with the glass and frog models. The glass ones are supposed to be lighter. Also has a nicer locking nut. I forget what guides the Type-H used. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Daiwa_DXB_Glass_Reaction_Bait_Casting_Rods/descpage-DXGRB.html
  5. That looks awesome! And I'm so happy to hear your wife is in remission. Great news! Very nice!
  6. 😄 Seriously though, I'd love to be able to fish with you and all the members here! For us who live in closer proximity, we could probably make it happen some time.
  7. Midway USA. 6'8" Light Steez BFS rod. Retails for $550. On sale for $334. It's listed as "open box", but as I and other have found out, these rods still have all their plastic/tags on. Nothing wrong with the them, at all.
  8. Wisco!!
  9. Party pooper.
  10. Ok, maybe you do need a mounted GoPro for recording video afterall. That would've made some great content! 🤣
  11. That's good they made it right. Ben is a good guy. His iCast videos every year crack me up.
  12. I think your pics are great, for what it's worth.
  13. "Peaked at it", yet knows the exact amount of packs you got.
  14. ALF's new delivery service. Of the 2 rods I ordered, they both showed out of stock/backorder. So I was shocked I got my DX so quickly. It came right from ALF. I haven't gotten any shipping notification for the KD744 yet though, so I may not be so lucky on that one.
  15. Just wanted to clarify, I'm not really recommending this rod. I just thought it'd go with the poop baits, being a TP-1 (toilet paper) and all. I'll see myself out now..
  16. I had already placed my order for the DX745 the night before you posted that extra 10% off code. I called them that next morning to see if they'd add that extra 10% off. He said no other codes should stack on top of an existing sale price. I said, well in my cart right now it's showing it does. He said maybe when you go to checkout it'll say you can't. Then he said it looks like the rod was in the process of shipping out anyways, so he couldn't honor it if he wanted to. I was skeptical but it arrived faaast, so he was probably telling the truth. I've always had great experience with their customer service, so I have no reason to doubt him. Anyways, later that day I placed another order for the KD744 and a few baits, just to see if the code did work. It did. Thanks again for the heads-up.
  17. Best rod for poop baits? I think this one is pretty obvious.
  18. Latest Bait Monkey gut punch. These Conquistador Tackle finesse craw trailers are great. They have a muted/matte look to them, and lots of salt/scent. The smaller one (2.5") is rigged on a Greenfish Tackle Bad Little Dude Jig. The 3.5" is rigged on a Strike King Bitsy Flip. These combos will catch every smallie in the lake. The SPRO Swimbait Shad is a cool little bait. There's floating, slow sink and fast sink. I'm replacing a floater that a pike snatched a few weeks ago. They're a little over 4", so very unassuming. They wake very nicely, whether retrieving slow or burning it. Awesome on those mornings/evenings when the water is glass calm. Finally, I got the Dobyns Champ Extreme 745, which I've been eye-balling for some time now. I have the Fury (swimbait rod), a Sierra, a Kaden (and another on the way) and a Champ XP. All great rods for their price points. As soon as I held this in my hands, I knew..."yup, this is a step up". As it should be. Can't wait to tie a jig on this thing and see what it's got. But, now I need to buy a reel for it. It's a funny thing, isn't it??! 🙄
  19. Love these as finesse jig trailers.
  20. Another great thing about the Paca Craw is it's hollow chamber. I like sliding a worm rattle in there.
  21. I put it in my cart and it says 30% off, but the price is $227. That isn't 30% off. Hmm.
