  1. In water with barely any visibility, I like the NetBait Stumpy Crush Worm. It's 3.5", but it has some bulk to it, giving it a larger profile. They have a new version that just came out that is infused with BaitFuel.
  2. I'm guessing you can't Tex-pose these?
  3. Same here. Don't get me wrong, I'd be 100% fine, let's say, catching them skipping docks all day long. But I like catching them on different techniques. I definitely have a habit of leaving fish to catch fish. And sometimes I kick myself for it. Haha.
  4. I don't have that exact Tharp model (I have the Hammer) but I'm extremely impressed with it. I'm amazed they list it at the price they do. And yea, you can always get 15% off at Omnia. Codes just change every month.
  5. I Texas Rig. I get better hookups using an EWG hook as opposed to an offset round bend. The depth and cover I'm fishing determines the weigh size or if I'm gonna peg it. Nothing slides through grass better.
  6. TW Labor Day sale ended last night. I forgot to place an order. I just looked at my cart and the 15% is still applied (as of last night it was gone).
  7. Definitely my favorite worm to swim. I go through way too many packs/year to count. And when the head of the worm ends up tearing, you can just cut that portion off and start over with a little shorter version of the worm.
  8. Eco Pro Tungsten Swing Shad is similar to the Keitech's. But they're more durable and cheaper. Not as many colors tho. $3.50 for a 5-pack compared to $6 for a 6-pack of Keitech. Not sure why more people don't talk about them.
  9. A few of them do seem to have more white than usual. There's usually white, but not that much. They do make great trailers tho. As is, it'll have a tighter thump, but if you tear off that little flange it'll thump a little more. This is what mine usually look like. (I sometimes dip the tail in JJ's)
  10. It is a great trailer. I tried a 3.6 Crazy Flapper on a Mini Max today and loved it. I rigged it horizontally like you would on a jig. I tore off the top 2 'legs'.
  11. I guess I've never thrown a shaky head on a rod that long. You have this model?
  12. Forget the knowledge and skills involved in being a pro angler. Most of us here wouldn't even be able to handle the stress and pressure that goes along with being a professional angler.
  13. I feel like I'm a pretty good angler. I've been fishing for some time (I'm 47) and I'm still constantly trying to learn new things and tweak things I already know. With that said, in a 1 V 1 challenge, I'm 100% certain Jacob Wheeler would smack me into next week. Even if he weren't using his forward-facing sonar.
  14. Absolutely.
  15. Anybody have any experience with the Tatula line (the $150 line, not the Elite or XT). I have the 7'1 med-light drop shot rod, which I love. I've been looking for another rod for shaky head, neko etc. I figured the 7'0 medium would be a good choice but I've read a few places that it's closer to a MH than a medium? It is rated to 3/4 oz. They also have a 6'10 medium that's rated to only 3/8 oz. In my experience most mediums are rated up to 1/2 oz or 5/8 oz. Just wondering if anybody has fished either of these rods. Thanks.
  16. Mike "Bait Monkey" Siebert.
  17. Definitely. Not the first bait I grab when fishing smallies, but the Megabass SV-3 in Ayu color is awesome. Fish just like that. No added trailer.
  18. Thanks! I've been looking to add another flip/pitch setup to the arsenal. Something for modest cover (not punching). What size weight/rigs do you think is it's sweet spot? Do you know how much it weighs? The only Dobyns I have is a Sierra and a Kaden (and Fury SB rod). They are on the heavier side (weight-wise) but in hand they balance great. I know a lot of people throw jigs on this rod. Not sure if the 745 would be better for what I'm looking to do?
  19. What model (rod) is that?
  20. I think you're splitting hairs with a lot of those Sleeper Gill colors. Many are quite similar. And live gills may be darker/lighter depending on the water they live in, or if they're living under mats/pads. With that said, this has been by far my most productive color. Pumpkinseed.
  21. The infamous 6'10 medium Expride A for $175. Must...resist. But I love my other Expride's sooo much. What to do...
  22. Don't know anything about these rods. But buy one, get one for $19. https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fbit.ly%2FArkPromo%3Ffbclid%3DIwAR2mO3S43-kUFFGMbY8r4S4KHxSFCJyqv7Fvz5jc_yDWc8UW35-LYjsKs-Q&h=AT1C9bzzpmv4lGc8fwC6JuiVZcGXuZz2e19TmjRO3PltI6-X53lVHO6zqt2wdMwJpXaqeyTwZ4r_R0gS8WeRrbZ2t_oYtZ5HN-XjXlNmLSCyCoY9fY7oOQuvXUQjfsjugta8&__tn__=%2CmH-R&c[0]=AT3LXy6BFk2Bgj0zodQCt29a9a1Puvab3Vkip4_U3nLCPMo4A-vyk4u0Y7ebNpBs7e8wvNORQOTeCzDcF_nr3Kpvx1q7Mf7JuKoPKt_i2A9dVzKsJUk7MwC0eAPoIvO9nC6Sg5XRqo92e_KrQUsTpiBqm2fAVUxg8kw92S308Oy_H0xfNf_o7rzFgMNWoUsG9lkk8gKaJJiKvQ
  23. Do all JDM Daiwa reels come with 80-85mm handles? I read somewhere that's the case. I like the 90mm of the US versions.
  24. Ok, just got email. If you're signed up for emails you have to click on the link to activate early discount.
  25. In my experience with this in the past, even in checkout it doesn't show the discount. Only when I get the confirmation email I'll see it. (Daiwa and Shimano)
