  1. I swim them like a swimbait, and I think that's what they were designed to do. Obviously you can fish them any way you want. The Dark Sleeper I fish more like a jig.
  2. Sounds like a good problem to have!
  3. Yeah, the paint on them aren't too durable. But I think a lot of it has to do with where you're fishing it too. The one in that pic looks like they may have been dragging is along hard bottom. None of mine was worn on the bottom, just the sides a bit from the fish themselves. I have lost an eye on one of them. I've definitely caught more than 5 bass (and a pike) one one and it was still kicking. besides some of the paint wearing off, it's swam fine. The fin makes the bait a tad weedless. But it's like the Dark Sleeper...it's really not THAT weedless. It does get frustrating when the hook pops out of the fin tho. And if you're having issues hooking up you can always cut the front part of the dorsal fin.
  4. I will say, all anglers should have at least 1 bag of Berkley Pit Boss in the Perfection Blue Fleck color with them at all times.
  5. No hablo ingles.
  6. Sale hasn't started yet.
  7. Good thing you can't see the other side of the deck! Most the time I like 6-8 rods on the deck max. Then there's days where nothings going my way and next thing you know I yank out another 5-6 rods.
  8. Hard to say. I think it's starting at $4.98. I bet some Shad Raps will be $4.98.
  9. Haha thanks. I do get a little embarrassed by how out of control I've gotten. Oh well. The boat is a 2018 Crestliner VT17. 17.5' v-hull. Nothing fancy but gets the job done. I think I wanna get something a little bigger within the next few years. Definitely wanna get some power poles/talons. (while looking through my phone for any boat pics I came across this. I guess my rinky dink graph isn't black and white afterall ?)
  10. Gotcha. We did get a little off course. My bad.
  11. Haha you ain't kidding! ? You're not supposed to be looking that closely!
  12. What happened to all the posts discussing the Daiwa Tatula Elite rods that people recently bought? A bunch have been deleted it seems.
  13. I feel like if I'm giving some of it away the least you could do is drive this way?? Besides, being a Packer fan I'm not sure I'm allowed to cross the border.
  14. Sad part is I've spent so much on tackle/rods/reels, yet I have no graphs on the bow and just a rinky dink $120 black and white one I have on the console I mainly use for water temps and depth. I guess I'm still old school in the sense that I like to find the fish on my own. But I do plan on upgrading one of these times.
  15. I definitely have a problem but at least I'm not on the level as some of those other people like Epic Eric. But I still have way more than I need. I'll give some away from time to time. At some point maybe I'll have a garage sale to lighten my load. This is the current state of my shed right now. Complete mess. It's usually really organized during the season. But right now, ugh. My boat lockers are packed to the gills with 3700 size Planos, tackle bags etc. All this other stuff is mostly overflow and reserve. Not gonna lie, it's gives me stress and anxiety at times. ??‍♂️
  16. Do they not sell fishing stuff on their site? Or am I looking at the wrong site?
  17. I haven't fished the 2.0 at all. I had a few of the original versions and I liked the 13 Fishing Jabber Jaw better. They brought the 2.0 out shortly after the original, so I'm guessing they released the 1.0 prematurely and quickly realized it wasn't up to standards.
  18. I appreciate that my friend. But I'm good for a while on tubes I think.
  19. Not weird. Only you know what feels good to YOU. I have some higher end setups. And for whatever reason, I enjoy fishing with my Dobyns Sierra 734 as much, if not more, than some of my more pricey sticks.
  20. Got my Elite's today. The Ehler 7'3 MH/F weighed in at 4.80 oz. Not light by any means but not terrible either. Then I weighed the Howell 7' ML/R. It weighed in at 4.91 oz. That one has a full grip as opposed to the split grip on the Ehler. Still surprised it weighed more. Obviously the paint on the rods contributes to the weights. In hand I'm not blown away, but that may change once I'm able to actually fish them.
  21. Yup that's how I fish them as well. And I think the Gill was designed to fish like a swimbait.
  22. I didn't fish it a ton last year. And I didn't catch any real big'uns. But like Cbump said, they eat it.
  23. Dang. My Fleet Farm doesn't carry them I don't think. And they're based out of WI even.
