  1. That's where I bought them but I added enough stuff ($35) to get free shipping.
  2. Did you see that Vols-themed Camas they had at the Classic?
  3. Restocked on my main Fluke colors but decided to throw a few new colors into the mix. The Rocky Top color should produce. I had really good luck last spring with the 6th Sense Flush in the Baby Gill color, which is orange with some green pumpkin/watermelon color. The Bone color should be great, because, well...it's Bone. And the 3rd color is Pink Champagne. Never seen that color in Fluke before so figured I'd play around with it on my smallie lakes/rivers. Of the three I'm really liking the bone. Grabbed a few of the new YUM Hellgrammites. Planning on mostly ned rigging them. They're a little bigger than I anticipated, which I actually like.
  4. Squarebills work in any water clarity. If the water is gin clear, I may opt for a silent squarebill instead.
  5. Not tackle, but still bass-related. New hoodie.
  6. ? Berkley Powerbait Flippin' Jig in Fire Craw color with YUM Craw Chunk 3.25" in Arsonist color. ? Post pics when you get them!
  7. Nothing wrong with the angler admiring the bait as well. I appreciate a good looking bait (see: Bait Porn thread). Tho I won't buy a bait unless I think it's actually gonna work.
  8. Tournament Tackle carries some exclusive colors for the D Bomb (as well as the Reaction Innovations Sweet/Smallie Beaver). The Wicked Craw and Wicked Gill are awesome. Pics don't do them justice. They aren't always in stock because a lot of tourney guys buy them up (looking at you, Kyle Welcher). I buy them in the 25 count bulk.
  9. Got one this winter but haven't thrown it yet. I have heard good things about them.
  10. The weed guard also lets you throw it in and around cover. I'll fish it thru spare lily pads a lot.
  11. I believe I've seen that on War of the Worlds.
  12. Well my name is on the order. And address obviously. You think they'd honor it if I sent in more from that address?
  13. I had 4 Tatula's (rods/reels) I bought so I thought I'd be getting 4 shirts. But reading the print it says only 2 per address. Bummer, but still a great deal nonetheless.
  14. I have caught a few on a frog in open water. The day one blows up thru the slop will shock me tho. Yeah I guess nobody REALLY knows how smart they are. I do think they're smarter than a lot of people give them credit for. But again, I could be wrong.
  15. Kittery has 25% off up to 3 qualifying items. You don't have to buy 3 items tho. I don't think Shimano or Daiwa work, but Megabass does. And FishUSA has 20% off Rapala.
  16. Sounds like me when I'm really hungry and someone sticks a platter of liver & onions in front of me. I think it depends on the lake. I have some lakes where there's a good population of frogs swimming in and around mats. On those lakes I'm sure the bass recognize them as frogs when they're hoping around on top of the mats. Other lakes I never see any frogs. In those instances when fishing a frog over slop/pad, I'm guessing the fish see that as bluegill/baitfish eating on the surface, etc.
  17. The answer is obviously 'yes'. Those mean son of a guns will eat anything they can fit into their mouths. Came across this cool video and figured I'd post it.
  18. I mostly fish it on the surface with the rod tip held high. Every now and then let it dip subsurface then back to the surface. Gotten some mean strikes on it. Pike love it, too. Oh, and one walleye who apparently identifies as a bass. ?
  19. Shot in the dark since it doesn't really match the 'chatterbait blade' description... And then there's this combo chatterbait/topwater. (love these)
  20. To be fair I just got mine this year, so I can't speak on how long they'll stay sharp. I've tried many different braid shears and out of the package, these cut better than anything I've tried to this point, and at a fraction of the cost.
  21. Yeah, Daiwa is always part of Omnia's sales. I do have the new Elite Randy Howell 7' med-light casting. Pretty awesome rod. I'll definitely be getting another 2023 Elite.
  22. Bummer that none of Omnia's sales/codes seem to ever work on Shimano.
  23. These small scissors cut thru braid like butter. And for $3.84 right now, you can't go wrong. https://www.amazon.com/Cuda-Titanium-Bonded-Micro-Scissors/dp/B00K5VF8H4/ref=sr_1_3?crid=DNQLP7XRIZHN&keywords=cuda+fishing+scissors&qid=1681178414&sprefix=cuda+fishing+scis%2Caps%2C139&sr=8-3
  24. No kidding? Somehow I've never seen it on any of my spools. ?‍♂️
  25. Those guys are making Bill Lewis a lot of money. I still fish the Rat-L-Trap now and again. But other than that, I haven't given Bill Lewis bait much look beyond that. Had I not seen the ATV on their videos, there's a good chance I never would have come across it. I love squarebills so I'm always looking to try a new one out.
