  1. Omnia has 25% off spinnerbaits. Sale runs thru the 25th.
  2. Us weird OCDers need to stick together!
  3. I thought mixing rod/reel brands was a no-no for you. That is a nice reel tho. I have that on one of my swimbait rods.
  4. Don't listen to @Cbump or @WRB. Get the 16# Sunline Sniper and be done with it.
  5. She couldn't after you spent all the money!
  6. Since I'm OCD when it comes to mismatching rod and reel brands, I'll also recommend a Lew's KVD. I have one and it's a great reel at that price point. I'm more of a Shimano and Daiwa guy, but Lew's makes some nice reels. I took the foam knobs off and added some Lew's Winn grip knobs on mine.
  7. As a BR member, it is your duty to post any great deals you may come across, ASAP.
  8. I'm gonna have to find a heavier ice fishing jigging rod if I wanna use it up here this winter. ? Man, I envy you southern guys.
  9. Not gonna lie, the Nessie looks pretty legit, considering the price. Only $10 for a 7" and $13 for the 9". I wonder how durable that plastic is. I heard it's a ripoff from some other company, but what isn't nowadays? That's the fishing world we live in. Video I saw, it has nice action. That's the one thing I was skeptical of.
  10. Midway has a handful of open box Tatula casting rods from $91 to $105. And some Rebellion spinning rods for $98. For those who don't know, these are brand new with tags. Nothing wrong with them.
  11. @AlabamaSpothunter is the new SPRO KGB swimbait rod on your radar?
  12. One fish every 12 casts? I'm sold! ?
  13. I wish I could just 'stumble' into an Addermine. ? Yeesh! Forget the Bait Monkey...this guy owns you now.
  14. Ok, so I guess there's a Combat Stick and a Super Combat Stick. $230 vs $450 according to TW (for the 7'3 H, which is all they're showing on the site right now). Maybe shorter versions are $420. The Super is the black/red one with a carbon handle.
  15. Whoops. I meant to quote @lunkerboss923. The new Evergreen Combat Stick. Another rod with a good price jump is the Fenwick World Class rods. They will start at $420. Woof. ARK has re-designed a few of their series as well. I really like the handles on the current casting rods. They have a nice taper and are quite comfy. Not sure I like them going away from that.
  16. Available to preorder on The Hookup Tackle for...$450!
  17. The Trilene? It's so good. I like how the tag end ends up in the backside of the knot. Seems less likely to snag grass/slime. It's so easy and quick to tie as well. I'm surprised more people don't use it.
  18. You bought the rods to fish with. Just fish 'em, brother. There's a LOT more rods that don't ever break than do break. You just don't hear those stories. I mean, what else are you gonna do with them?
  19. Reading the threat title, I thought you meant you broke 4 in the same day. I was gonna say that's a very bad day. ?
  20. San Diego Jam works well, but the simple Trilene Knot has become by most used. Super easy to tie and I never have any breakage.
  21. So it's the Curado M, not L? I thought for sure they would've been able to make the new model a little lighter than the K. Guess not. I like the looks of the K better. Mostly because of the darker handle.
  22. They will be. Rapala CrushCity Freeloader The ultimate bladed jig trailer features a streamlined profile with appendages that enhance the action of the bait. The body features miniature ribs for added action, water movement and a realistic texture, with a tail that tapers to a point, with a ball at the end. That creates a kicking action which is subtly realistic. The 4.25-inch bait is available in 17 custom colors. $5.99 for a pack of six. Rapala.com 25/108 Rapala CrushCity Ned BLT The Ned-rig bait is made from TPE, a completely different material than anything else, combining durability and buoyancy with maximum action. The additional buoyancy makes it ideal for rigging up to 1/4-ounce jig heads. The Ned BLT is salt- and scent-infused, which results in more bites and encourages fish to hold on — a critical element under the tough conditions where the Ned rig usually prevails. Available in 16 custom colors in a pack of 10 baits. $5.99. Rapala.com 26/108 Rapala CrushCity Cleanup Craw Constant, lifelike movement is a must for a crawfish-style bait, and the Cleanup Craw delivers kicking action with its upside-down legs. Ideal as a stand-along punch bait or jig trailer to add strike appeal with the consistent kicking action. The 3.5-inch bait is available in 17 custom colors. $6,99 for pack of 7. Rapala.com 27/108 Rapala CrushCity Bronco Bug Designed to imitate the unique undulating action of a fleeing crawfish, the Bronco Bug features a realistic recoiling action when the lure hits bottom. The legs come forward, hit the head, bounce back and forth and then return to the resting position. What else sets the Bronco Bug apart is a perfect level of body thickness, allowing it to be snagless on a Texas rig, while allowing easy hook penetration. It features a dolphin-like swimming action and a “Bronco Buck” kick when jigged. What is more, the forward-facing appendages displace more water while quivering with the slightest bit of current or angler manipulation. Available in 18 custom colors with exclusive Smart Injection Technology™ for custom combinations of color, flake, salt and scent that are added precisely where needed for the perfect presentation. The six-inch bait is available in 18 custom colors and comes in a six pack of baits. $6.99. Rapala.com 28/108 Rapala CrushCity The Mayor What sets it apart is a subtle, lifelike tail action with a steadily and natural swinging from side to side. Features a level of body roll that is noticeable but not too aggressive, while tracking true through and across cover. The salt- and scent-infused body moves realistically with the entire package designed for use all year, not just seasonally. Rapala’s exclusive Smart Injection Technology™ allows for custom combinations of color, flake, salt and scent that are added precisely where needed for the perfect presentation. Available in 3- and 4-inch sizes and 16 custom colors. $6.49-$6.99. Rapala.com
  23. I think the new Strike King Rage Hawk is gonna be a winner. Definitely excited for that. There's also a new bait called the Rage Luau Craw, but I haven't seen pics of that yet. Not sure about the new Mojos. That handle/butt/reel seat just doesn't look comfortable. Will have to feel it in hand. This is the Mojo Bass Trigon Series. Will there be a regular Mojo Bass, or is this the replacement for the current model. I'm guessing this is it. Strike King Rage Hawk A new addition to the Rage Tail lineup is the Rage Hawk. The bait is 3.25 inches and features a super compact profile, with two Rage arms extending from the side of the bait. Ideally, the bait fits up to a 5/0 hook in its smaller profile, increasing hook-up ratios and presents a snack-sized bite for finicky bass. Also new are the Rage Luau Craw, a bulkier Rage Scounbug and Tour Grade Rage Swimmin’ Head. Rage plastics: $6.99. St. Croix Mojo Bass TRIGON Series Featuring St. Croix’s all-new ergonomic TRIGON handle and Dynamix Reel Seat design based on anthropometric data, the next-generation Mojo Bass TRIGON Series expands to 34 models – 25 casting and nine spinning – for 2024. The comprehensive Mojo Bass TRIGON Series features premium SCIII carbon or 100% Linear S-Glass blanks (reaction-bait models only), with lengths, powers, and actions to perfectly support any bass-fishing technique from BFS to eight-ounce swimbaits. Retail prices range from $165-$270 with a 5-year warranty. Available August 2023.
  24. The popularity in the US is definitely growing. The fact that Shimano has dipped their toes into the BFS market is enough reason to believe Daiwa will as well. I too am surprised they are lagging behind.
  25. Oh, so right on their site, hey? Why didn't I think of that? ? I figured they'd wait til iCast to announce any new products.
