I was looking at this myself for a 'shorter' punch rod. I have the 7'11" Expride A that I punch with. That 7'6" has the same lure range as the 7'11". I bet it'd work well.

That's about it. It's like everything had been wiped off the internet. I mean, they even released pictures of it. They had a cork handle. Nice looking rod. I figured there'd be some photos on Google images at least. Nope. Government has to be behind this. 🧐

Anybody hear anything about this new line of rods from 13? They announced it earlier this year. TW even had them on their site for pre-order. Well now there's no info to be found anywhere. 13 Fishing's site doesn't show them. TW took them off. Very strange. They do have an ice fishing jig rod called The Widow Maker, but they've had that for a while now. Here's my TW wishlist where I put stuff to check out later, just to prove I'm not losing my mind. I had it in there, now it just says page not fount if I click on it.

I have this rod and would possibly willing to sell it. It's mint. I literally used it once after buying it a year or two ago. I bought it because I saw a review online saying it's more of a M (which is what I was looking for) than a MH. After taking it out and trying it, I realized it's definitely more of a MH than M. It's a great rod though, for sure. And looks absolutely beautiful.

Yessir. Funny I see this as I'm stripping my setups down for the year 😢. I have the 7'3 H. I like it a lot. Stripped down, nothing fancy (hence the name, Naked). Just an overall solid rod. I think I got a deal on mine ($150). I've used this rod for swim jigs in heavier grass, buzzbaits and toads. As far as that 704 cranking rod, I don't see that on their site or anywhere else. And it say extra-fast. Are you sure it's a cranking stick? Their crankbait rods are mod-fast.

Don't even get me started. Since my last post in here I've found enough issues with that site that I could right a book about them. But I just been letting it go... 😅 Just amazing how they can take a perfect site and make it so bad.

So do you still use glass rods for bottom contact baits? I've seen you make this claim before. Whether you wanna admit it or not, rods/rod material does affect sensitivity/feeling bites.

I wouldn't use a glass rod for any bottom contact applications. The sensitivity isn't gonna be there, and you'll want more tip and backbone for driving hooks home.

As I'm reading this, I'm waiting to get to the end to hear the punchline. That's how asinine and unbelievable this story sounds. He sounds like a certified nutcase. If I were you, I'd go out with him one last time. And anytime you catch a bass, you act like Michael Iaconelli catching an 8 pounder at the Bassmaster Classic. That's what I'd do. I guess that makes me a little nutty myself.

The Shimano Zodias is around the same price point and that's also a great option. Or with sales, if you can, the Expride is top notch for that price. It's an amazing rod.
