  1. -Gambler Big EZ. -Belly-weighted EWG hook in 1/4 oz or less. -40-50# straight braid. -7'3 H rod. -Fishing through sparse pads, buzzing on the surface and periodically killing it and fishing it sub-surface. - Wooo doggy, hold on to your hat!! One of my favorite things to do.
  2. I think the Daiwa folks were maybe partying too much when putting all the info etc together with these new Elite's (which are great rods). This is what it says on the website compared to the actual rod. Not a big deal at all, but these technique recommendations are off a bit. Usually they would match up exactly. Like I said, it's not an issue, just something I noticed when I received the rod.
  3. Got mine a few days ago. Not the same feeling as it was prior to the internet/tackle sites existing. I used to memorize that thing from front to back. Lots of homework took a backseat to that beautiful thing.
  4. Very versatile rod. I mostly throw spinnerbaits on mine, but can easily double as a bottom-contact rod.
  5. Pros use what their sponsor wants them to use/pay them to use. Like I said, sure, you can feel bites with a cane pole. But bite detection improves with better materials/rod weight.
  6. That's great and all. And of course you can still feel bites with lesser, cheaper rods etc. But you can't say higher quality rods/material doesn't aid in bite detection. It does. And you mention Lamiglas blanks. Lets see what they say about rod sensitivity- https://www.lamiglas.com/blogs/lamiglas-fishing-rod-blog/understanding-fishing-rod-sensitivity-1
  7. You're still sticking with that, hey? So you think you can detect bites on an Ugly Stick just as well as with an NRX?
  8. I agree. We had emailed quite a few times. I couldn't have been more impressed with him and his service. Seems like a really good guy to boot. Jim, if you ever happen to see this, thank you....again.
  9. I wasn't sure if I would share this story or not. But with so much bad press companies get nowadays for bad customer service, I feel like they deserve to be recognized as well. So I ordered 2 of The Body Glove mesh rod sleeves from TW in XL size. I already have about 35 of these but needed a few more for a few new rods I got. When I received them, I opened them up and put them on some rods. I noticed one sleeve seemed a little shorter than the other. Then I compared it to all my other ones that I've had for a while now. Yup, the one sleeve was a little shorter. About 2.5" shorter. Now, this wasn't a huge deal since it still covered the guides on the rods, but I was curious why the change. I did notice the packaging had changed a little on the one. (one has Brandon Palaniuk and Gerald Swindle on it, the other just Swindle) So, I email The Rod Glove asking them about it. Almost right away I got a reply from Jim, the owner. He apologized and offered to send me 2 more sleeves for free. I said that wasn't necessary at all, but he insisted. He just asked that I let him know how these new ones worked out. In a few days I received the sleeves. Again, the sleeves I got had the 2 different packaging. And the one sleeve was 2.5" short. I email Jim again to give him the update with pics, etc. This was his response. Again, I said it it wasn't necessary. I totally understood how Covid messed everything up, etc...but that I'd accept if he did send me the new neoprene sleeve to check out. In a few days, I received a package from him. It had 4 of the new Tournament Series Neoprene sleeves (XL) in it (VERY nice sleeves!) and 5 bags of XZone baits (which I've been a big fan of for a while now). Turns out him and his son own/run both companies. I had no idea they were sister companies. Between this package and the first 2 sleeves he sent, that's an $80 value. I expressed my gratitude to him, telling him he has a customer for life. Talk about TOP NOTCH customer service. (Only 3 sleeves in this pic because I had opened one already)
  10. All OSP 30% off at The Hookup Tackle.
  11. Nice! What's the seller? I haven't found that particular model that cheap.
  12. This definitely does NOT violate the ban. You're buying a sack. What 6th Sense decides to put in it is up to them. I've had this in my cart for a while at Ali Express. Where'd you get it? If I get one I may replace the knobs, though.
  13. Not all colors are glossy. These two in particular.
  14. Omnia has 25% off all terminal tackle. Code TERMINAL25.
  15. Lots of good ones already mentioned. One I haven't seen mentioned which is one of my favorites is the Z-Man Sling Bladez. Particularly in this color.
  16. $40 sounds like an absolute steal. I've had my eye on the new Ultra MBX since they were announced. Haven't held one, but beautiful looking rod.
  17. Is shipping free at tackleheaven?
  18. $268 at Japan Lure Shop.
  19. Been seeing this bait around the internet. I always thought "well that's an odd name". It just hit me that Krej is Jerk backwards. 🤦‍♂️
  20. This is great. He was trying to decide between a handful of spinning reels, but went with a casting reel instead. So we all know he STILL has to get that spinning reel. Clyde definitely approves!
  21. Hey, I thinned out the herd (or hoard, as MN said) a few months back. Just ask @WaskaCrank12. I sold him a rod and a reel.
  22. I know Matt Allen likes the 7'2 ML Expride B for his 'flipping' presentations. Also the 6'10 ML Cashion Icon for bottom contact/all-around.
  23. Sure. So how's this work? I give you my mailing address and you send me baits?? 😃 Nice deal. 50% off the Spark Shad and Grass Ripper. Sadly they're all out of stock now. But that's a great deal on the Uni Toads and Flat Worms. And only need to spend $35 for free shipping.
