  1. Did somebody say...MEGABASS??!!
  2. I used Advance for the first time this year (12 lb) fishing chatterbaits. I had zero issues with it. But then again I wasn't bringing it through a lot of rock/wood either.
  3. When a bait has payment options, it's probably a good idea to pass...out.
  4. Definitely fake. Probably worth $10, but since I feel bad about you getting ripped off, I'll give you $20 for it.
  5. Well, I think they were both going for the bait. Once the big bass had the other one in it's mouth, it probably figured "this one will do". Once it realized it was to big to swallow, it released the other one.
  6. Crazy. I almost wonder if the big one was also going for the lure and just so happened to get the bass in the process. They're lucky he spit him out and didn't choke on it.
  7. Makes it easier to cast. Just wear quality base/mid layers.
  8. I do have a buddy who lives in N. Carolina. Hoping to get down there once this winter, depending on how busy I am at work.
  9. This is what I'm looking at. I wish I had some at my local stores so I could try them on before I buy online. Do they run pretty true to size?
  10. Not sure how good these suits are, but that's one hell of a deal! Also, you get a free Huk gaiter when you spend over $75.
  11. To all you guys who are still able to fish open water right now...I hate you.
  12. He said "not my highest end rod". HIS. And that rod that can be had for $180 on sale.
  13. I use the Tat 200 (6.3) for my swimbaits. Works great. Sportsman's Outfitters has it marked down to $109.99 right now. Hard to beat that price.
  14. Awesome, thanks! Have you ordered from these guys before?
  15. I've caught a good amount of largemouth on the ned in water with 6" of visibility. Also have caught many smallies in rivers with even less visibility. Obviously it'd do better in clearer waters, but it does work in lesser water conditions as well. I see now that Googan baits now sell ned worms that have a rattle already inserted, which could help in muddy/stained water. Personally, I can't bring myself to buy Googan baits, tho.
  16. Hey guys. I'm looking to buy some Simm's Challenger bibs and jacket (non-insulated) in the black color. Right now I'm seeing the bibs online for 20% off. With Black Friday coming (or even sooner), I'd appreciate it if anyone could give me a heads-up if they happen upon a better deal somewhere. Thanks!
  17. Ironic that their Megabass stuff is excluded (or so it seems...haven't checked every lure), yet the code is Mega20.
  18. I imagine. A gift card is a gift card. So, let's say you get a $100 GC. You pay $85 for it. Then use it however you please.
  19. They always have bins of really marked down rods that came out of the factory with minor blemishes etc. Mostly cosmetic stuff you have to look hard to find.
  20. I use the Tatula 200 with the 7'9" Dobyns Fury swimbait rod.
  21. Good deal, or you can wait a month and get it on Black Friday for $192 on TW.
  22. FYI, in stained/dirty water I always use a glass bead between my weight and hook. Gives it a little tapping sound when the bead and weight hits.
  23. I know I've said it before, but such a beauty of a boat. Question for ya. I notice you had the boat tied up to the dock. I see a lot of guys deploy their Power Poles/Talons when launching/loading solo instead of tying it up. You ever do that?
  24. For t-rigs and jigs in moderate cover I use 16lb Sniper. Love it. I do use KVD line conditioner every few trips. Not saying you have to.
