  1. I can't help you out, but did you see these are marked down on TW ($170, reg. $275)? Get gift card for 10% off while you're at it to pay for it. Jacket on sale for $200, reg. $325.
  2. Yeah that shouldn't happen. A dab of super glue and you're good to good though. I usually experience a lost eye or 2 after a handful of catches.
  3. If fishing in clear, open water, hard to beat a 6'8"-7' med/fast (or extra fast) spinning. If I'm fishing near cover/weeds, I throw it on 7' mh/fast casting gear.
  4. So I'm looking to order something from Stillwaterflyshop. On their main page, and the cart page, there isn't a 'secured site' lock icon in the address bar. But when I go to checkout, there is. It is safe to order from sites like that? From everything I've read, I can't find any bad reviews on that particular site... Thanks.
  5. I watched this video a few nights ago (great review BTW), which reminded me of the bait. And then I saw your post. I think I'm gonna have to get one. Now I have to decide on what bluegill color. Now if that doesn't look real...
  6. Have you used these baits before? If so, what are your thoughts? I was eyeballing them a while back.
  7. I'm in my 40's. I've been fishing for years. I've caught thousands of bass in my lifetime on ALL kinds of techniques. I have never, ever fished a drop shot. Not even once.
  8. B- Buzzkill
  9. That'll easily handle the 120. You could probably get away throwing the 168 on it as well. When casting the 168, just lob it (like Hook2Jaw said) more than straight casting.
  10. Fast action? I know most MH rods are usually rated for 3/4 or 1 oz. The S Waver 120 is a tad over 1 oz. Either way you shouldn't have any problem throwing the 120 on your rod.
  11. I don't think anyone can compete with SO colors. Hey Mike, FYI. The Purple Oyster isn't showing up on the chart.
  12. That's definitely an option. Personally I don't like doing that. It shouldn't be hard for a company to add a hook keeper to the rod.
  13. Also, all rods should come with a friggin' hook keeper. I shouldn't have to buy a Fuji EZ Keeper for my Expride and Orochi.
  14. I mainly use 3/8. I'll go heavier if I'm fishing river/current.
  15. A few things I picked up during Black Friday week. Really looking forward to trying the new Picasso Shock Blade Pro. Of course 90% of this stuff I didn't need.
  16. In years past, once a door is opened, that sale stays going until all 25 days are over with. *edit- Dirtyeggroll beat me to it.
  17. I hear ya. But Croix and GLoomis are MUCH richer companies than Kistler.
  18. Spinnerbait. I mean, who in their right mind would create something that looks like that, and expect it to actually work.
  19. I got more D-Walkers as well. LOVE them on swim jigs.
  20. Is it weird that I enjoy looking at tackle pictures as much as I used to like looking thru the Christmas toy catalog when I was a young'n?
  21. Did you run into the same issue I had?
  22. Went to add to my cart. Still showed the $99 price. When I went to "shipping", the price changed to $189. I think they messed up on their end and just corrected it. You guys got lucky! BTW, the description said 6.1:1, but the model number listed is the 7.3:1. They don't make it in 6.1, but they do in 6.6:1. So I wonder which one it is. Either way, great deal. Edit-Now it says out of stock.
