  1. Hey guys. I just got a new Lew's Tournament Pro LFS and took it out today. When casting, it makes a "whining" type sound. Not sure that's the right word. Kind of like a buzz sound maybe? Or humming noise? None of my Shimano's or Daiwa's make a noise, or even my only other Lew's I own (BB-1). Now, the thing casts like a dream. So as long as the sound is normal I have no problem with it. I'm just curious if this is normal for this model. Thanks!
  2. Target has 30% off Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs.
  3. What size Rico's do you guys throw? The 1/4 oz Rico or the 7/16 oz Rio Rico?
  4. I'd like to try this TSI 321 everybody is talking about. I just want the 4 oz. bottle. It's $9 direct from the site listed above. But shipping is $19. I look on Amazon and Ebay and see people selling bottles with different-looking labels than the one in the above link. Is TSI 321 a 'type' of oil than different manufacturers make? Is it a brand? I'm not sure where to buy and what's/who's reputable.
  5. You know, surprisingly I don't get any hook rash. I think it's because they're packed in so tight when the lid closes that they really can't move around.
  6. Wow, that's one realistic-looking bait. Even the blood looks real. Ohh, that's the bass you say? ?
  7. I was super excited when I heard about the Edge boxes. But then I saw the price...ooof. Maybe some day if the price come down or I find them on a good sale. They'd definitely be a more organized option that what I use now tho (size 3700's, everything jammed packed). But they're also $30 more per box. Plus I can fit more cranks into these cheaper models... BTW, unless you use boxes that are rust-proof, I recommend getting some of these gel packets and throwing a few in each tray/box. 1 gram packets, 200 packets. They'll suck the moisure out of the box to prevent rusting. Super cheap. And you can "re-charge" them after they've been used for a while by putting them in the microwave. I just toss them and add more since they're so cheap and a bag will last a long time. https://www.amazon.com/Dry-Packets-Premium-Desiccant-Dehumidifiers/dp/B00E880DYS/ref=sr_1_6?crid=1V0RSQJLRUNDJ&dchild=1&keywords=dry+and+dry+silica+gel+packets&qid=1586297100&sprefix=dry+and+d%2Caps%2C181&sr=8-6
  8. So, how'd it go? I decided to leave the boat at home today and bank fish a local pond. I only took a spinnerbait, chatterbait and a jig. They wanted nothing to do with the first two. But then I threw the jig and caught 4 in a pretty short amount of time.
  9. Why do you prefer the Ocho? Cost? More success with it? I'm usually strictly a Senko guy when it comes to Wacky Rig. But I bought a few bags of Ochos to try out this year.
  10. Dang, hopefully he recovers from this quickly. He seems like one of the good guys.
  11. Yeah, Sungill and Electric Bluegill are my go-to. It's crazy how similar those two colors are tho. You have to look REALLY close to see any difference. I think the Electric Bluegill has a tad more blue/purple flakes while the Sungill has more gold flakes.
  12. Reason I ask is because I've read a few places that they work much better in lakes that have schooling shad. Was hoping to hear from someone who has first-hand experience/success fishing these rigs in non-shad lakes.
  13. I live in Wisconsin, so we really don't have shad here, well, except for Lake Michigan and the Mississippi River (gizzard shad). I've never tried an a-rig, but have always been intrigued by it. Would it be worth throwing in lake where the primary bait is bluegill? I'm sure it'd catch some fish, but is it defeating it's purpose since the a-rig is supposed to mimic a ball of shad/bait fish?
  14. Don't forget the Hot Sauce!
  15. They do rattle (more like a single knocker) in them.
  16. It's a great reel. Is this gonna be a do-everything reel? If so, I'd swap it for a 6.2 ratio reel, personally. Or the 7.4 at least.
  17. So I'm looking to get another rod to throw some bigger treble hook baits (paired with a 6.3 reel). I already have a cranking stick for deep cranks (paired with a 5.1 reel). But wanna add a faster setup. I'll be throwing throw S-Waver 168, Whopper Plopper 130, 10 XD, Shell Cracker, Gantarel Jr, Megabass Big M 7.5, A-Rigs etc. The ALX is a 7'6" Extra Heavy/Moderate-Fast. It's rated for lures 1/2-2 oz. 12-25# line. The Falcon is a 7'9" Heavy/Moderate, Lure rating is also 1/2-2 oz. Also 12-25# line. I like the length of the ALX better. But I'm curious just how stiff the rod is. I don't want it too stiff. Both are rated the same for lure weight/line size. Does anybody have any experience with either of these? Or which way you would lean? Appreciate it!
  18. Most of the underspins I use come with silver blades. But I'd like to ad gold blades to some of them. All I'm seeing are blades that come on a harness. Does anyone sell just the blades themselves? If not I'll just buy the ones with harnesses and take the blade off I guess. And as far as the Owner Flashy Swimmer Willow in 3/16 and 1/4 oz. Anyone know what blade size those are? Thanks!
  19. I got a 3/8 oz and 1/2 Fogy, as well as a 5/16 Sniper jig. Quality is bar-none. Those LM and SM aren't gonna stand a chance!
  20. Not sure, but I peeled mine off and got the access sticky stuff off with warm water/soap.
  21. I'm a Sniper guy but have been wanting to try Tatsu. Anybody know where I can find the best deal? I'm assuming Amazon when it's on sale?
