  1. Same here. I have the 6'11" and 7'2" versions (last years models). The moderate-fast tip on these things just feel so right. Best chatterbait rod I've ever used.
  2. This is the Dick's way. Complete amateur hour. I ordered a rod from them in the past. Came the same way, except I had a snapped rod inside.
  3. I've caught a decent amount of bass already this year on that exact same 110+1.
  4. My main advice...fish during the spring! Are ya nuts?! Best time of year to fish.
  5. Sportsman's Outfitters have them on sale for same price right now.
  6. Shoot, I honestly don't know. I've never replaced knobs before so this is all new to me. I guess I'll have to see if I can find the answer to that. If they do, how much are ya asking? Thanks!
  7. I fish this on a scrounger head. It's a deadly technique. Not sure why the scrounger isn't talked about more in the fishing world.
  8. Thank man. I did see that but was hoping I wouldn't have to buy the whole handle. But it looks like I may have to anyways.
  9. As some may know, the new Tats come with smaller/skinnier handle knobs than those on the Tatula CT. I am not a fan of them, at all. The wider ones that come on the CT's are so much better IMO. Anyways, I've been looking online for replacement knobs for the Elite. I'd love to find some CT knobs but I'm having no luck. I'd even take after market ones that are the same/similar shape. Hoping somebody here can help me out. Thanks!
  10. Milliken is a windbag.
  11. I've actually thought of that...it's a good idea. Admittedly, I have way too many soft plastics. I have my go-toes and then I end up having tons that I end up not using much, if at all. I'd say I have about 200 bags in the boat, and then a bunch that's not.
  12. I have 4 Kistler's and I really like them. But I don't like how they bumped the prices up on their rods $50 this year. That's quite a bump. I realize they run sales now and then, but still.
  13. I admit, I'm a tackle hoarder. I have stuff in cardboard boxes I forget about, so I end up order more stuff, etc.
  14. Just some of the stuff I stocked up on over the winter. And finally got my peg boards up to store all my excess baits that won't fit into the boat lockers.
  15. The standard hook are STICKY sharp. Even tho I'm always carefully, I can't count the amount of times it's gotten snagged on my hand or shirt just by making light contact with it.
  16. You fishing clear or stained water? What about trailers? If I'm fishing stained/dirty water, the chatterbait really shines for me.
  17. I had a hook break the other day on a 110+1...thanks to a pike (at least he didn't take the whole bait!). I replaced all 3 hooks with the Aaron Martens TGW Nano (size 5 seems to match the stock hook size perfectly). I haven't fished it yet tho to seem if the bait suspends the same.
  18. Mono or Copoly- Trilene Knot. Simple and been using it for years with zero issues. Fluoru- San Diego Jam Braid- Palomar
  19. If I HAD to pick one to use for the rest of my life... black/blue, for sure. If I only fished gin clear water, green pumpkin. Although some of my favorites right now is School Bluegill (Jackall Archelon) and Okeechobee Craw and Perfection Blue Fleck (Pit Boss).
  20. Managed to get out on the boat on Friday. Water tempts were 45-47. Caught a handful of bass (nothing big) and a decent pike. Most on a Vision 110 and 110+. Yesterday went to a local rock quarry to do some shore fishing. The bite was tough but managed a few. Biggest was just shy of 5 lb, caught on 110+1. And the other was caught on swim jig in the shallows later in the day when the sun came out.
  21. Gotcha. Like I said, I'm not the smartest when it comes to the inner working of each reel.
  22. My Lew's BB-1 also has centrifugal breaking but doesn't make the sound my LFS does. Just wanted to get some thoughts. Thanks to those who have commented.
  23. Ok thanks guys. I just didn't know what exactly could have been causing the noise or if it was something that's the norm with Lew's. So I did what you guys said, and it's still makes a hum/zing noise on the cast. Efishin said he's does the same, so maybe that's just the norm? Like I said, it doesn't affect the casting at all.
