  1. Yup. And it shows the Baby Jack is the same $15.99 as the full-size Jackhammer. I don't see sales being that great with the cheaper MiniMax EVO available.
  2. Jackhammer and Baby Jack costs the same amount?
  3. One I have paired up with a 6'10 MH rod I use for jigs/swim jigs in close quarters/docks. Another I have paired on my primary Fluke rod. One of my bladed jig rods has an 80 on it. Another on my squarebill/DT6 rod. And another on topwater rod. Honestly, it can do pretty much everything. I wouldn't use it for punching or frogging, but that's just me. And if I wanna bomb deep diving cranks I'd go with the 100. But this reel bombs baits plenty far, and I love how it feels in hand.
  4. I have a few of the new 100's and a few of the previous version (with the red accents on the clutch bar). To me, the previous version sits more comfortably in my hand. The new 100 sits higher on the reel seat. But that's just me. The new model obviously has it's improvements over the last version. Really solid reel. I also have a handful of the 80's, which I love more than the 100's. The 100 obviously has more line capacity, if that's important to you. What do you plan on using it for?
  5. Black and blue is always true. People usually just throw that color in stained/murky water, which makes sense. But don't sleep on it in clear water. I've had some amazing days pitching/dragging black/blue jigs in gin-clear water.
  6. I believe you're right. Go on their site now and this color is sold out. Lol.
  7. I guarantee you @bulldog1935 is a member there.
  8. Just fishing tackle stuff. From the fisherman, for the fisherman. Picture a centerfold of a Jackhammer sprawled out, with a beautiful Zako trailer. That's enough to get any fisherman's blood pumping. It'll be called, OnlyFins.
  9. Oh duh, I totally read it wrong. My bad.
  10. Tournament Tackle has some really good deals on select colors of these baits. Rapala DT4, DT6 and DT10 for $6. Berkley Frittside 5's for $7. Berkley Stunna 12's for $7. Strike King Menace Grub for $3. SPRO Bronzeye 65 for $8.
  11. No problem. If you go the Tatula route, don't forget to do this. https://daiwa.us/pages/tatula-aftco-promo
  12. What else came in the box? The reel retails for $210.
  13. I didn't experience any of that at all. I thought it was comfy.
  14. 45% off a $270 reel. I'd say you did good.
  15. Yep. I'd definitely check out the M/F if I'm wanting a more true MH/F. Their M/F is rated up to 3/4oz.
  16. I got the 7' MH/F, and I thought if was stouter than other MH/F rods. I actually used it a few times for closer quarters, open water frogging.
  17. I grabbed a Tatula XT when they first came out. I ended up giving it to a friend who really liked it. I can confirm they are VERY nice rods for that price point. And if looks matters to you, they're a beautiful rod with nice craftsmanship. If someone gave me one to try out and I didn't know the price, I'd guess it's a $150-$200 rod.
  18. It's weird they don't show the lure ratings on their site. They show 3 different 8' swimbait rods. A Heavy, Extra Heavy and Extra Extra Heavy. Now, on TW they show the Heavy, and it's rated up to 2 oz. So I'd rule that out. Now not all rod ratings are true to form. But I'd advise not throwing a 4 oz bait on rod rated up to 2 oz. You could always call them to get the ratings on the other two rods, and see what they recommend.
  19. Thanks guys/gals. My first chemo treatment is tomorrow finally. It got pushed back twice now. First time insurance hadn't authorized it in time, even though they authorized the surgery for the port placement a week prior. Make it make sense. So it had to be rescheduled. Then I tested positive for RSV, so they had to reschedule again. Finally, tomorrow is my first treatment. They wanna do 4-6 treatments. 3 weeks in between each one. They're hoping it at least slows the cancer down/prolongs it. I was able to get my boat out yesterday, which I really needed. Got a little winded at times, but not too bad. Really good therapy. I'm worried how I'm gonna feel with the chemo. Am I gonna feel like fishing? Will I even be able to, physically? Time will tell, I guess. Again, I love and appreciate EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU. I hope you all know that. 💚
  20. If it's TW, I'd always get to $150 so I'd get the free t-shirt. Explains why I could use a dedicated dresser just for all my TW shirts. Also explains why I have so many lures I don't even use. 😅
  21. You could be fishing right now if you ventured across state lines. I was able to get the boat out yesterday for a little while. Water temps 42. Didn't catch any. Lost one.
  22. So I notice this now comes in a different-looking bottle. And it's only 5 oz. The previous/original bottle was 8 oz. The kicker...they both cost $10. That's all. Just felt like ranting.
  23. Not 'his' rod, but...Ark Invoker Tour. Great rod especially for the price. They have a 7'6 MH/F which is labeled "swim jigs, off shore jigs, Carolina rigs". Not sure if this was the model he was using, but it sure looked like he was throwing his swim jig on the Invoker Tour.
  24. Impossible. That would be like eating the same thing for dinner every day of your life.
