  1. That one on the left looks awesome! How is it called?
  2. -Murray Cod -Nile Perch -Arapaima -Musky -Goliath Tiger Fish -etc etc etc... If it´s big, swims and have a bad attitude... i would love to catch it!
  3. The only thing that i usually upgrade in most of my reels are the handles and, sometimes, the knobs. I like longer handles in most cases and big knobs on the reels that i use for bigger baits...
  4. Actualy, i prefer the 40 size spro to the little 30 one so that would be my choice. Just as a curiosity when it come to colors the ones with wich i had more sucess are the more "bizarre" ones, Morning Dawn and Nasty Shad, i guess bass don´t like hippie rats...
  5. For the jigs give the Zman Turbo Crawz a try. It has nice action and is made from elaztech so if you glue it to the jig you probably going to lose the jig before the craw gets worn out. Can´t beat that for cost efficiency...
  6. I have both in all their sizes, they´re both good but i like the Spro´s better! The Savage gear has a more realistic swimming action but i have at least twice more strikes on the Spro´s, i believe that is due to the sound it makes when swimming (like a "clack, clack, clack") while the SG Rat doesn´t make such a comotion. Both will lose the ocasional tail (and feets in the SG) but they´re pretty sturdy, never had any problema with them.
  7. If it floats i´ll use it for bass fishing! I´ve fished from to many boats, canoes, kayaks, pontoons and float tubes in my life to be able to name them all. However, owned by me, i´ve fished from a 9 feet dingy, my current 10 feet small fiberglass boat, various float tubes and one kayak...
  8. A 3" to 4" grub (Zoom Fat Albert most of the time) on a 1/4 to 3/8oz jighead! When everything else fails a grub on a jighead is my savior!
  9. Another vote for braid with leader! Other option could be Berkley Trilene Big Game, i´ve done almost everything with that line except fishing in super heavy vegetation, wich i don´t have in the lakes i fish, but i guess that with a heavy enough pound test line it could be done...
  10. Original Rapala Floating Minnow, a classic that still works.
  11. G-Loomis Mossyback BSR 852 Shimano Rarenium Ci4+ 2500FB 15lb Sufix 832 main line 8lb Seaguar Invizx leader
  12. The Rage Craw is my favorite and most used bait of all time, yes, they´re not very resistant, you will go thru a bunch of them but i don´t care... love the thing! EDIT- Don´t tell anyone but the Falcon Lake Craw color is a killer!!!
  13. Yep... that should do the trick! Might be trying something like that on mine...
  14. In that case maybe the Vanquish 2500 at 6.1oz, maybe there´s something even lighter out there, i´ve read somewere that Abu Garcia is releasing a spinning version Revo MGX Extreme... i bet that´s going to be extremely light.
  15. What size reel are we talking about? If your question is whats the lightest spinning reel, disregard the size, the lightest i know of its the Shimano Soare Ci4+ 500 at 4.9oz.
  16. Yes, fish them right from the package and i just cant´get a good hookset on the thing, the bottom treble should be more towards the end of the bait. Maybe someday, if i feel bored, i´ll try to make na assist hook and give them another shot...
  17. Funny thing is... this was our best game in the World Cup and we lost! Two good games, the France vs Argentina was great but now... i´m rooting for Croatia!!!
  18. Try the Mann´s! I buy them here in Europe for 3.20€ /10pk, and, as others said, they are very tough. You won´t be disapointed...
  19. Try the Mann´s Hardnose Jerkbait! They´re bulkier and a bit longer than the 5" Zoom Flukes: They cast like a bullet, even weightless, and the action is great!
  20. Took advantage of a 20% off discount on ebay and ordered me a Lews Team Lite: I was looking for a sub 6oz, bellow 200€, reel to put on my small paddle tail swimbaits/grubs rod. Was a little divided between the Lews and one Okuma Helios Air, in the end the 20% off and external adjustable brakes made me go with the Team Lite...
  21. The things you guys remember... Actually, if i do recall, in the Simpsons prediction the Mexico VS Portugal game was in the final so... ain´t gonna happen this year (only chance for that game is in the half finals)! Maybe in 2026 world cup in the USA.
  22. My brother from another mother! I have a bunch of Savage Gear lures and really like all of them... except them stupid ducks, i´ve got 7/8 hits on both of them, 0 hookups! The d**n thing is useless... For a moment i tought maybe i could improvise some sort of assist hook for them but then i realized that fishing a whopper plopper the same amount of time gives me more strikes and a waaaaaay better hookup ratio so... i´ll stick to them!
  23. Some really nice games coming our way...
  24. Yep... i´m officially changing my vote from Argentina to Germany as the biggest disappointment of the World Cup so far! For me they were the big favorites to win the thing...
