  1. There are lots of great crankbaits in the market, the ones that follow are the ones i use the most: SQUAREBILLS -Storm Arashi -Lucky Craft 1.5 -Megabass S crank -Sakura Bomba Crank SHALLOW DIVERS (round bill) -Rapala DT4 and DT6 -Spro Little John MD MEDIUM DIVERS -Rapala DT10 -Strike King 3XD and 6XD -Yokozuna Cruz 70 (this one i doubt you will be able to find it in the US) DEEP DIVERS (these ones you obviously won´t be trowing them from the bank but just fyi) -Rapala DT16 and DT20 -Strike King 8XD -Killer Kraft Deep Monster 800 (also doubtful to be found in the US) LIPLESS -Spro Aruku Shad -Rapala Rippin Rap -Duo Vibration 68
  2. Congrats! That´s a sweet combo, i bet you really going to enjoy it.
  3. So do i! 1 brake on in the old VBS braking system (spool tension knob to adjust) and 2 on the new SVS infinity system. However, with heavier and more aerodynamic lures (like lipless crankbaits for exemple) i´m able to go 1 brake only in the SVS, pretty much everything else as to be 2 brakes...
  4. I can´t tell you anything about the Legend Elite because i´ve never tried one, unfortunately. However, just recently, i´ve had a relative borrowing me is GLX 822 DSR for a couple days, verdict? I´m buying one for myself! Awesome rod...
  5. Nope! I have reels from Shimano, Daiwa, Abu and Lews at the moment... i do like my Shimanos better, but i will buy other brands if i get a better deal on them.
  6. I have one, the 71 HG. 1- 10lb berkley big game 2- G-Loomis GL2 843 cbr (7.1" Medium Moderate action) 3- All of my crankbaits bellow the 1/2oz mark 4- Absolutely zero problems with mine, it´s a little tank...
  7. I have that rod, you could get away with it for softer frogs but it would definitly not be my choice for a dedicated frog rod. It makes a great deep cranking rod though, that´s what i use mine for, heavier crankbaits and medium sized swimbaits.
  8. I´m a simple guy: Braid: Sufix 832 Mono: Berkley Big Game Fluoro: Seaguar AbrazX (only use fluro for leaders) Pound test varies according application...
  9. New boat! Let´s see...
  10. I love the smell of Japanese newspaper in the morning...
  11. Shimano Zodias! My favorite line of rods in the sub 200€ price range, very light, super well balanced, very sensitive, good components and well build, from the ones i´ve tried from the line up the 7.2" heavy stands out, hell of a rod...
  12. One little pike in 6 hours of fishing... ...still beats getting skunked!
  13. The Lews reels from the LFS series are tiny, the Abu Revo ALX (same frame as the MGX and the MGXtreme i believe) and the 50 sized Shimanos are also very compact... i really like them and have a few but i think they are in the border line of being maybe a bit to small... i kinda feel more confortable using reels a bit bigger.
  14. If you want to dip your toe in to the big bait world without taking a second mortgage check Savage Gear and Spro line ups, they have very good baits that cover all the basics...
  15. Killer Kraft Deep Monster 800. I´ve reached 24 feet with it and caught my deepest bass ever on a crankbait at 22 feet.
  16. Snakes have arrived! Cool looking baits....
  17. I have one Onimasu and i also have that exact same rod (E6X 884C) and, from my personal experience, i can tell you that the rod is a bit underpowered for that bait, you can get away with it doing gentle sideway lob casts but do not try to bomb cast it!!! You might have a heartbrake.... That being said... i really didn´t had to much luck with the Onimasu so far! Only one fish caught. They look great but just don´t perform, at least for me. I think you will be better served with one River2Sea S-Waver 168 or one of the Savage Gear Glide baits ( Shine Glider or Glide Swimmer) that are, in my opinion, better baits thas the Duo, are cheaper, and their weight is perfect for the E6X ...
  18. G-Loomis E6X 884 SWB + Shimano Curado 201 E7 for that kind of baits.
  19. 120ºf today... locked inside with the ac working full time, if you go outside... you melt!!!!
  20. In my region yes, 110º and above is normal in the summer. All over the country like we having now... no!! Normally next to the coast and in the north the highest is in the 90s. But almost all Europe is under a massive heat wave right now...
  21. Storm Chug Bug! There´s at least one black color available and they are inexpensive and super effective...
  22. 86 fahrenheit last night.
  23. You guys think that´s hot? That´s adorable! Here´s how my neck of the woods is going: Disclaimer: This image is in Celsius, do you see those 50´s and 51´s? That´s 122 to 124 fahrenheit... it´s oficial... i´m moving to Sibéria!
  24. I´ve been burned one to many times by Livetarget so... i´ll wait for solid reviews on that thing before i even consider buying one, plus, i think it´s a little to expensive for what it basically is... a jig.
